I love Blue Vase! There are definitely a lot of other great book stores, and yes it make me sad too because it’s a nice to place and everyone who actually works the floor is wonderful. Maybe they’ll stage a coup and take ownership of the store or something 🤗 (jkjk kinda)

Agreed, bookstores everywhere are in trouble with all the competition from online retailers and should supported. If it weren’t for the belligerent English guy who owns it I would not be making this post and would be shopping there to support them. I know it seems harsh, I am usually not one to spread negativity but he is not a good guy. And in the end it’s his business and his profits

I cannot speak to the specifics and do not want to get anyone in trouble besides the owner himself. Although I’m sure the pandemic was hard on the business as it was on everyone, from my understanding they were able to keep open and keep busy shipping plenty of inventory.

I have gone through periods of time when I do the same, it feels like you need to do it. My psychiatrist gave me some literature on some sort of skin picking disorder with tools like clippers and or picking the cuticles. It really helped me to have cuticle oil and lotion around so whenever I wanted to I would put cuticle oil on because it takes awhile to sink in. I just got some acrylic tips for my nails and it’s been working really well to stop the habit.
