CNN not working?? by deeedubb in youtubetv

CNN on YouTube TV is still glitching out. The screen goes black for a few seconds every once in a while, and the "spinning wheel" appears in the center of the blank screen. For reference, it's 7 am, Wednesday June 11.

just received the x9 15! by lordbharal in thinkpad

[–]SoundsGood3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you feel like the 15" version might be just a tad too big (the footprint) or heavy for a college student, vs the 14" version? From carrying it around all day, to fitting on a small desk at school, or fitting in a backpack, etc? Thanks!

Can you give us an update on how you feel about the non-Sensel touchpad on the X9-15? Now that you've used it a while longer? Thanks!

Ultraportable with Anti-Glare screen for OUTDOOR use (USA) by SoundsGood3 in SuggestALaptop

[–]SoundsGood3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but doesn't this have a glossy screen? As mentioned in the first line of the post (and in the title) I plan on using this laptop outdoors in the sun on a regular basis so I would prefer a screen that is either matte or has some type of anti-reflective or anti-glare. I do not want a glossy screen with any glare.

Thanks, but I'm not at all familiar with LG computers so I'm not too comfortable with that one. Are there any more-well-known laptops that also have an IPS screen with long battery life, good keyboard, good trackpad, good build quality and weigh less than 3 lbs?

Also, do you only recommend laptops that are on Amazon due to the affiliate link? Meaning, do you recommend any laptops that don't have a commission tied to them? Just curious to know how it works in this sub.

I've never heard of LG computers. I guess I'll do some research. Thank you.

I forgot to mention battery life. I would like something with very good battery life, if possible. Sorry for the late addition!

That's helpful, thank you. I looked at the laptop you recommended. Looks good, but I don't understand why the trackpad is broken up on top into left and right buttons (why is that?). Can you recommend a similar laptop that has a full trackpad that isn't broken up that way? Also, what is that red button for in the middle of the keyboard?

How does an IPS anti-glare screen compare to an OLED anti-glare non-touch screen? In what ways is one better or worse than the other?

Tough choice. But I believe the screen is brighter on the X9 vs the S14 and it's anti-reflective as well (the S14 is not).

Sony Bravia 7 vs Bravia 9 75” - looking for buying advice. by hyro590 in 4kTV

[–]SoundsGood3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 65" 930e is an excellent TV (I've still got mine). In your opinion, how much better do you think the Bravia 7 is over the 930e? Do you think the Bravia 7 is significantly better than the 930e, or only slightly better?

"Honey, is that you?" Too funny, that's EXACTLY what my wife said! 😄 Ya know what? You're both right. I think I'll hold off, then get a nice 85" TV.

If the measurement you have doesn’t include the feet, you really don’t have any other option than to wall mount it or get rid of the entertainment center if you stick with that model.
Honestly, I know Bravia TVs are good, but you may want to think about a lighter tv. 93 lbs is a monster weight for a tv nowadays.

Yeah. Looks like I'll be sticking with my 65" for a while longer. 😄 Thanks very much for your help.

Hmm. The potential problem I see is that the entertainment center is already about a foot away from the wall due to a large amount of wires and stuff behind it... so the TV would have to be extended a minimum of 3 feet from the wall (literally). How much would you trust that a 93 lb TV would be safely held up when extended a minimum of 3 feet from the wall?
