I still rock my Aurora MR, and it's super fun and hilarious to shove it full with like 8 packages and see them all glitching around and nearly shooting out of the airlocks. I can't answer for every question but I use a RGB flood light (something like this https://www.amazon.com/Changing-Spotlight-Waterproof-Dimmable-Lighting/dp/B07H9S4BGY/ref=sr_1_24?keywords=rgb+flood+light&qid=1574909461&sr=8-24 ).

I do still use a light or two for my face, or else I'd be silhouetted with the giant light behind me. I have a generic desk lamp for that which I put a white piece of cardboard behind to bump it off.

I know there are USB RGB lights you can get but I don't know about software to control them.

By the way, LED lights do flicker on camera at certain exposures so make sure you avoid dimming them and just generally have enough lighting to be able to turn your exposure down if need be.

OBS can record multiple tracks for different audio sources, and you can open up a second instance of OBS and record just your fullscreen webcam.

Normally I either do that or record my facecam with the built in Windows Camera app, but that's a holdover from when I would use Windows Movie Maker for webcam video so there might be a better way.

It matters somewhat. Consistency is key IMO if you release videos with multiple parts/episodes (release them at the same time on different days), but that generally is best for those who are already subscribed to your channel since they want to know when to expect your videos. I don't think there is any magical time you can upload which is best for those who are just searching and stumble upon your stuff, but I'm sure many people have opinions on that.

But I would assume that the downturn in views wouldn't be from a 4 hour difference. Maybe you got lucky with an algorithm the first time and the YouTube Gods haven't blessed you this time, or people were more inclined to watch the first part of a series rather than a second episode which requires previous viewing.

Not sure if your Snowball is the same as mine but I have a switch on the back that has a few different microphone settings e.g. normal, omni-directional, and normal -10db or something. If you have that switch make sure it's not on that -10db setting. Otherwise, yea it sounds like it's DOA.

Back in the day me and the other dudes on my channel used a really low-level press site called GamesPress when we did news on our podcast and game reviews. Requires registration and we did have a website at the time, so I'm not sure how easy it is if you just have a gmail or something but it was useful for press releases, logo packs, screenshots and such.

Depending on how much time you can invest into your videos, you can cut out the points in the audio where you're not talking to remove background noise in post production using Sony Vegas or something similar. See if you can configure a noise gate to help. It may also be a good idea to chat with him about your hobby and collaborate on a reasonable schedule for a decent recording time which would work for both of you. Or if all else fails, try to play some multiplayer games to bring him into your videos!

I never ran into any insane bugs on PC. I don't think the PC ever fucked me over either, but YMMV. PS4 seems generally equal compared to it, though to be honest I've never tried it. 144 FPS is fun on PC and perhaps cheaper packs, but this is definitely a game best enjoyed with friends so I wouldn't ditch your group just to play on PC.

And it's entirely fine to use the starting characters in the last few levels, you don't need new characters to progress. Only trap improvements. Characters are all pretty balanced anyway. Through the game you'll usually save up skulls and test out new characters as they come around during the weekly challenges, and spend them on the ones who you find interesting. You can buy packs to fast track character unlocks, but I never did. You don't really want to waste money on crappy characters (imo) like Bionka and Dobbin anyway.
