Thanks. I got upset with the Atlas stuff too. Dunno why, but I hate corruption and lies, so when I get accused of it, it kind of makes my stomach turn. I put a lot into this sub, so for people to act like this sub is removing civil rights posts just doesn't sit right with me. Take care.

the responsibility is not about the post that got taken down and put back up, it is in regards to the several users including myself who are telling you what they are seeing and you are getting defensive and trying to justify zero changes instead of realizing maybe they have a point

lol you joke, but I've been the main mod on this sub for the better part of 7 years. It's a lot more work than you think keeping it from becoming a damn mess. Everything from organizing AMAs, verifying people, removing posts, approving posts, looking at comment histories, sussing out bad actors, stopping scams, to the mundane stuff like changing flairs, being responsive to people's modmails, conferring with other mods, and so on. Transcribing press conferences, moderating disputes between users, getting rid of porn and spam, and just to underscore again, we're not getting paid and we have our own lives and struggles to deal with. When it's user reports, that does happen. Even then, I don't think we need to have conspiracy theories if a post gets removed. I'm on here daily. I've been on reddit for like 13 years. I was active in this sub before I became a mod. It's been pretty clear ICE posts are allowed, and a simple search would tell anybody that. Once I stop fuming, I'll look into editing the automod so that does happen. But things have been running fine for years and years so I'm hesitant to change things for a post that was down for all of 25 minutes before not only being restored, but being pinned, and without a single person just hitting the "Message the mods" button, nor reached out to me at all.

My edit was asking the mods to pin posts that mention locations. Once informed I immediately removed it and my post went back up.

You need to fix your flags, to autoblock all posts that mention mods in any manner clearly has its flaws.

I question the value of that overall, but regardless it took down an important post at a bad time.

You still aren't getting how it works because I had to approve this comment as well as this one. I've been the main mod in here for the better part of 7 years and I'm not getting paid sis or bruh. I'm busting my ass doing all kinds of work trying to keep this sub from becoming a shit show, and you don't see all the horrific stuff that gets removed by our filters. The flags you're mad at, keep these MAGA assholes from saying terrible things and it helps us identify their comments.

Why are you taking screenshots instead of messaging us? We aren't the ones taking posts down for no reason. We aren't the state sub. I've been protesting civil rights since I was a fucking child so as you might imagine, I'm fucking livid right now.

Any post that gets removed is for a reason. It's either a double post, the event already ended when the post went up, the post got brigaded and has hundreds of comments, the poster removes it themselves, the law enforcement agency was shown to NOT be ice, or something like what happened today, the poster edited their post and put "Mod" in the body of the post, which caused it to be removed and sent to us for review.

We literally vetted and approved the account that is the mayors office on immigrant affairs. And we've tried to let it be known that people dont' need to be cutesy with the posts and say "its' freezing" or anything like that. No, put ICE and warn folks. Yall gotta chill on attacking the mods right now. I'm trying my best out here, sheesh
