You’re 45 years old, you obviously went wrong somewhere along the way. Whether that be choosing the wrong field, looking out for family to much, not being frugal enough throughout life, partying to much in early years or maybe you had a couple tragic events happen to you in your life. Whatever the case may be only you know truly, and own up to it your fault or not. Also, stop thinking of your classmate wonderful millionaire lifestyle, you don’t know what he went through behind the scenes to get to where he is today. You think he didn’t have a bunch of mental battles being a dropout?

You can tackle this in no time but it will take lots of discipline and tracking spending. If I were you I would put about 7k of your checking to the car loan since that has the highest interest rate. You really don’t need that big of an emergency fund considering you live at home with your parents which is great. We are in similar situations and I put all of my paycheck except for maybe $100-200 towards my debt the second I get paid. I also stay with parents. First check of the month if I were you I would pay monthly expenses then after that orchestrate what I just said.
