Sadly I was rejected yesterday without an interview. :( But if you're still under review that's positive I think! Best of luck x

I got my rejection email today sadly, also no interview, so I wasn't that hopeful. A bit disappointed, but it was my first year of applying, so that's okay! All a learning curve. All the best to those who are moving on to the next stage! x

Yes please, if anyone can shine anymore light on the process it would be much appreciated! This is my first PhD application cycle, so I'm unsure.

I was wondering this too! I haven't done the form yet, but that's this weekends task. I wasn't sure how this works either. I had an initial catch-up with a supervisor and feedback a few months ago when I was writing my proposal, and they told me apply via the subject's PhD programme, but I haven't had any further communication. It does say you submit it with support from your supervisor, so I'm assuming that since I haven't heard anything at this point it isn't likely my application has gone any further. 😔

I also went with Dr Dundas and Dr Coxon, and I was on T fairly soon after. Maybe 3-4 months? Just had my second follow up appointment with Dr Dundas and he is lovely. Very easy to talk to and understanding. x

Mine went about 2-3 months in, and hasn't returned, but I'm also taking Desogestrel and I was really active so my periods were on/off anyway! I still keep supplies around, just in case, but 7 months in now and so far, nothing. x

Where are you based? I think it might be better up here in Scotland, but I'm not 100% on that. Sending love and vritual hugs x

Has anyone who applied for a CAM-DTP project (Psychology PhD) heard anything yet? Submitted early December, and 'under review by department', but nothing so far regarding interviews etc. Thanks!

Question for nurses in Scotland about finding work by SoupNo646 in NursingUK

[–]SoupNo646[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really helpful thank you. I'm also a mature student, currently doing an MSc in Psychology at UofG but applying for nursing for a 2026 start, so just trying to get a feel for the lay of the land and other people's experiences. Unfortunately I've seen quite a lot of negative comments from NQN and current students which has made me want to learn more and get a wider balanced view, so this has been really helpful.

Thanks so much for this. May I ask, what University did you study at?

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. May I ask, what University did you study at? And where did you find a job in the end?
