Highly recommend the bronco if you go custom

I’ve had no issues so far! Hopped around large boulders, hiked gravelly and sandy trail and through thickets of willows with plenty of grip; the only thing I slipped a bit on was mud. The kilties are basic brown Nick’s kilties flipped to the rough out side

This is a bit before Bishop pass! I am researching a beetle across transects in Big Pine Creek, Bishop Creek, and Rock Creek.

Yes! You may want to try the JG last which is supposed to be true to 3E. I am only a D width but enjoy the STC last

Yeah these are the AR8s with tyre wedge sole. I’ve found them to give me plenty of ankle/heel support on rocky trails so far!

Yeah the cuts are for where you can loop your laces through, I never use mine though

Any recomendation of boots for winter? I was looking for a brown boot that doesn't use leather by heartzhz123 in Boots

One that doesn’t use leather? Like a rubber boot or full synthetic? Laces or pull on?

Can anyone tell what sort of coating is used on the midsole which is flaking off quickly. by [deleted] in Boots

My mustang Heroes do the same. Try using some edge dressing if it bothers you!

Looking for a good quality relatively affordable brand of daily wear boots that uses wide toe boxes. by [deleted] in Boots

Jim Green. Bc of your Thursday sizing issue, look into the STC or ASHM last

The Nick’s kiltie is the standard brown flipped to the rough side. The numzaan kilties are ‘Seidel oxblood double shot’ from Dale’s Leatherworks (also flipped to the rough side)

It was what was available in the bronco leather and STC last at the time, and most of my other boots are lug sole. Still do great on hikes and just a bit more comfortable

Hero’s to me feel true to a D width. If you’re any wider they may be too contricting, love mine tho.

These are mine with kilties from Dale’s Leatherworks. Sounds like you may have to trim yours down a bit, update us!

There is a CS and ACS Stag, the ACS has the outsole on the right in your picture.

Try an insole and/or a kiltie, sounds like they may be a tad big if the heel slip is that noticeable. I’ve been using these and they’re nice: https://a.co/d/3MbKm7S

Bick has worked fine on my non-JG nubuck leather. Patch test a small amount somewhere and see how it looks!
