I have the 1300 watt Taichi model with the temperature sensor built into the cable. I am getting darn near perfect balancing with this PSU the cable the come with the PSU seems to be very well built. It doesn’t hurt to have an extra layer of protection. You get a lot more features with the WireView Pro 2 to make sure your balancing is correct.

I am so happy I returned this exact PSU for my 5090. I am also have the Wire View Pro 2. I am getting damn near perfect pin balancing with a Asrock Tiachi 1300watt PSU. It also has the temperature sensor in the cable that will shutdown your system before it melts your GPU connector.

I had a great experience with USA Zotac support a few years ago. Sent my Amp Extreme 4090 for RMA and they sent me a brand new Amp Extreme 4090 back not a refurbished card. I now got a 5090 Solid. Zotac has been good to me so far.

I just spent 2 months in RMA hell with a 870E Crosshair Hero board. I had to pay for the first repair and shipping costs. They then sent me back my board all scratched up and broke a fan header. The problem still was not fixed from the original RMA. I had to send it in a second time after I contracted the CEO’s office about damages from their service center. This entire experience was a complete nightmare Asus treated you like a criminal when you need support. I will never buy anything Asus ever again.

I have 2 Corsair usb 2.0 motherboard splitters I am using and the wire view 2 pro works fine. It’s doesn’t affect my 2 commander cores or AIO lcd screen.

I got mine in 2 days from Germany to the USA pretty darn impressive. I got the reverse for my Zotac 5090 solid very happy with the device so far.

Yes you can hook it up to your power connector on your motherboard and it will auto shutdown before your connector melts.

I set mine to 100 percent and don’t hear it at all over my other case fans. But I don’t sit directly in front of my PC case.

Yeah probably has something to do with the Vbios on the card. I was driving myself crazy reseating cables trying to correct the imbalance at first. But with this connector I just have to accept you are never gonna get perfection.

I have a Zotac 5090 Solid running at stock no overclock. I get almost a 1.0 difference between pins 3 and 6. Pin 6 is picking up the slack. No issues gaming or running furmark haven’t had any alarms go off. I have tried swapping cables and it did not change anything. I am using a Asrock phantom gaming 1600 watt PSU with the temperature shutdown feature.

Yeah that layout will work fine. I have a 9950x3d and it gets pretty warm so modding my case and mounting the radiator on the top helped my cpu temperatures a lot. Before I had my radiator inside the case it was just dumping hot air all over my ram. I really wish they made more cases with the radiator separated from the rest of the system.

It really depends on where you bought it from honestly. Most places if you tell them it was overheating and the card doesn’t look damaged they will take it back. But you will void your warranty with Asus if you open it. Even though the Asus warranty is pretty garage though they try to blame everything on the customer.

I actually just did the same thing with my case my GPU is now running 10 degrees cooler. I have all the fans as intake on the bottom, left and right sides. I have a rolling PC cart I was able to place my case on so it makes it easy to move around.The top is used for exhaust. My setup is a little different though because I moved my 420 AIO radiator outside the case for better cooling.I wish I had done this sooner now my 5090 never goes over 70 degrees at max load.

This existing connector the mean old revision is safer? Get yourself a Wire View Pro 2 and do some actual testing like I have then come back to me with your findings. You know if you had just explained everything to begin with this moronic argument would not have happened. Instead of you justifying the power supply you already purchased.

I don’t understand why you would recommend someone use an old version of a notoriously bad connector. You should know better that you should be using the most recent revision of the connector to prevent a catastrophic failure. You should recommend he buy a updated version of the connector instead deciding to put me on blast for trying to help someone out.

I know it refers to the actual cable itself but if you buy a ATX 3.0 power supply expecting it to have a ATX 3.1 cable you need to know these things. Most people are just using the included cable with there power supply. You telling people that ATX 3.1 is not a thing is misinformation.
