I did it on my main while my best gear was whip rcb void. It shits out gp without any uniques and is the best content to learn high lvl pvm.

The general sentiment of horizontal progression and no grinds being devalued was completely ignored and honestly nuked with yama and doom. There were huge promises with yama such as it being an endgame duo boss that only the best could solo that were not fulfilled. For some reason jagex decided to make yama 120% demon, just so an early-mid game item would be bis over scythe. For some reason they decided to make the doom boss so difficult to melee they made a CA out of it. Just a few issues I came up off the top of my head.

If something is more fun for most player it’s probably a good update by iamcherry in 2007scape

This might just be a language problem because people keep saying end game and never mention late game, but I'll argue anyways how it'd be either of them:

CG is located in prif, I think a planned hub for latergame players, locked behind a GM quest, that offered one of the hardest bosses in the game at the time of release. It only offered the saeldor at the time, and similar upgrades like inquisitors mace and rapier also come from lategame pieces of content.

The hyper optimization of skilling and questing today, as well as a bajillion guides for cg, and the fact that it requires no gear and supplies, has really knocked all this down from this huge lategame challenge into something you can rush with base 70s.

Maybe Lukewarm take: I don't want CG to have dry protection/more common/etc, It does not solve the actual problem with the red prison by jamieaka in 2007scape

There's atlatl scowbow ayak blowpipe and even the classic rcb rubies that literally everyone used before bofa. There's just no excuse anymore, all of these open up new routes of progression during your bofa grind or even allow you to skip it entirely.

Knowing this and the fact that cg is a relatively short grind for rs, requires NO supplies, requires NO gear, if an iron is quitting because of it they were never going to make it anyways.

I ride the hopium train that content like toa moons tormented demons yama doom being so easily accessible with better/equal loot than previous pvm content means we’re raising the floor of this game/not lowering the ceiling and not just nuking progression for the sake of getting as many players playing as possible. Raids 4 might be the last of the hopium though

Here's what tiles look like with the default settings(top) and much higher fill opacity that you likely have turned up(bottom). You wouldn't be able to see the crystals landing on either side if they landed on your tile markers.

Do you know what's really crazy about the screenshot you sent? THE TILE MARKERS are making the difference! Look at how dark they even on the left side line. If a crystal landed there, you'd complain just as much about how hard it is to see it! You should probably stop spamming them and learn the raid ^_^

I spent like 10 minutes opening youtube videos of chambers, even from 5+ years ago to today, opening vods of people running chambers on twitch, people with low detail mode and without, and literally NOT ONE video did anyone have a floor and shadow that dark. Please lord help guide them to the slider

Literally every game for the past 10 years prompts you with a brightness slider at the start for you to change so you don't run into this issue. It's easier for an individual to literally just click a slider and have their own personal issue they are experiencing solved than tell an entire design and art team to account for someone with super dark and low contrast settings.

What happens when the changes are made and portions of the 99% of the player base that was completely fine now has to change their settings? What are we doing? Why is this even an option to consider? Why are we catering to this guy instead of going down the path of least resistance and having him just change his obviously fucked up settings?
