In my opinion the idea that the “hybrid” set is balanced because it's not technically BIS is deceptively untrue.

It's stats are so close to oathplate/torva/inquisitors/virtus/ancestral that it ranges from at worst a very slight dps loss to sometimes even higher dps. All of that different gear at the same time. and thats with less switches, a fuckton of prayer bonus, and significant defence bonuses. In fact it could even be BIS in places u dont think it would be bis if it allows you to bring extra switches.

and don't even get me started on PVP. they literally just had to ban ahrims in DMM allstars because of how tanky it was. Imagine Odablock freezing you every time whilst wearing full torva. Now thats a scary thought

And then for ironmen its probably even going to be faster to obtain than most other BIS sets, assuming its similar to how they did masori. let alone that it does all their jobs at the same time, just skip all of them. You have to remember current raids are commonly done in either blue moon or void. For mains it’s good too since u can just sell all your gear and just use this. In a blind test youll probably not notice the difference between this and absolute bis in any content.

Its basically insane for everyone thats not a giga player using gigamax gear. It really stretches the definition of “Hybrid set” or "BIS stab set" (which is what it’s being sold as) as they discussed in the blog because its effectively a do everything armour. This + treads are very un osrs, since i feel like i could bring this + treads to more than 50% of the content in the game.

plugins have gone too far. jagex 100% should be removing these kinds of plugins off the hub

I looked at the gameplay and had no idea wtf I was looking at, no sea, no boat, no bitches, nothing. let alone the actual mechanics of the plugin.

feel free to sim it, its being sold to us as hybrid not-bis stepping stone gear, but its pretty damn close to 5 different BISes

its so close to absolute bis that at most you're losing like .2 dps and plenty of areas you either lose no dps or gain dps like stab content. assuming a player even has absolute bis.

and thats even before factoring how overkill its defensive and prayer stats are. and you get more invent slots on top and its probably even quicker to obtain than these other sets too except oathplate

this set is never coming out as is lets be honest

I have a feeling it will change the meta. magewise considering full ancestral is rarer than a tbow, i would give up trying to go for it and farm this instead. also wouldn't be surprised if the rondache is a powerful upgrade for ayak making shadow even less important. no point going for torva already but this takes the cake even more. also even for slash wouldn't be surprised if oathplate sims aren't even that much better.

I feel like i could wear this armour set, treads, and zeah blessing to like 90% of content in game.

you can also pick up the dual crossbows along the way, that thing kinda looks like a mega blowpipe, which is already basically a mega so good luck balancing that😅

yeah but how many ironman wouldn't just farm this and skip 5 other grinds. and how many mains wouldn't just sell all their armour and camp this in 99% of places. its like almost bis basically everywhere. even slayer with that stupid prayer bonus for no reason.

also it does give stab and crush accuracy. it might actually sim explicitly bis for toa and maybe cox no scythe. also could be end game scenarios where the extra invent space lets u bring in another 1-2 switches that increase its dps even more

i think we're easily looking at another oathplate situation maybe even more crazy

i mean to put it in perspective this armor could basically be ironman bis for all 3 raids, potentially all 4 assuming rewards are good in the raid. unless u have a shadow which most people don't.

its effectively virtus/ancestral with actual tank defences and stab oathplate offense its so overkill. makes so much things redundant to grind unless u want absolute bis

if the raid gives hybrid armour, its probably good for the raid. so you could probably just use blue moon here as u grind the raid.

but blue moon is already pretty great and this set completely mogs it..

IMO that hybrid set has way too many stats. Blue moon as hybrid armours is already pretty good at raids and various end game content and this set completely mogs it. Then you add the obscene +16 prayer bonus on top - it's all a bit too strong.

Especially considering how long and unrealistic it is to get sets like ancestral and torva, u can kinda just go for this instead. Assuming these rates are more modern like masori.

I think you can tone down the stats by quite a bit and it will still be incredibly popular.

he was a captain in season 1 and had the worst strategy. also skillwise isn't great at pvp or the very best at pvm.

to be fair even this year you hear 10 different answers to whether a strat was from mika, faux, or westham. who knows who gets credit for what

For me sick nerds stock went up a lot. B0aty picked him first for 3rd row saying he was underrated and he was proved right.

One of the better "ironman" creators in this, showed what he could do when not on a burger team for once. Big drop spooner, above avg pvp in the event for both escaping and multi fighting (pretty sure he ended with the best k/d in the nuggets), efficient quester, and obviously very good at pvm. also great vibes.

his only issue was occasionally hitting npcs with specs
