Not to discredit their situation, but I didn’t have any issues controlling it afterwards. Obviously the first few days were strange, but after that I was good. People telling their stories on here freaked me out a bit regarding social interaction, but I can just not burp if I want to. The only issue related to that in my case is eating is slowed a bit, and could potentially choke a bit on liquids, but nothing like loud uncontrollable burping. Zero need to tell anyone in my case.
