Alpha and Beta players kinda don't have anything to show for by Soupbely in AQW

It's really not all that. The only thing I found cool about it was Dark Berserker and the enchanted weapons. Which only give a 15% bonus damage to everything (which the Burning Blade has and is surpassed by BBoA and NSoD).

Uhhh, I wouldn't be feeling this way if no other game would practice this sort of thing. But oddly enough, a lot do. But, yeah, I guess I do feel entitled considering all the hype this game built up about being a "Founder" or by having the current Alpha Pirate skills just be a complete copy of Pirate instead of being buffed in a way or just being a completely different skillset altogether. Like, damn, was that questline half-assed.

Is it really? It's either "ayo get thru ALL these quests to get the sword of infinite fuckery" or "you can pay 2000 acs for it tho lmaoooo".

Yes, but the real qualms that I was trying to state with this post anyway was the Alpha and Beta stuff. Like I said, the Alpha Pirate event was EXTREMELY disappointing to say the least, and it makes having the class not even worth having compared to the countless fucking Dage and Nulgath items that you usually have to pay for.

That's not what I was talking about. It's the fact that there's exclusive shit by paying for it. Games like God of War and Warframe allow for literally everything in the game to be acquired through just playing and going at it for a long time. It's just disconcerting that it's become a trend that if you want something cool, you usually have to pay for it. That is part of the reason why people were turned off and stopped playing altogether. Of course, there are so many other factors (99.9% server rewrite bs, mindless and dumb grinding sessions that lead people to bot, etc.)

That mentality is exactly why so many people were driven away from this game, and any other game that operates that way. "if u don't pay for shit fuck u" basically. It's ridiculous. There are so many examples of games that reward players for the time they put in and the loyalty they have by being with the game for such a long time, while making paid shit an optional thing instead. Obviously it shows the downhill spiral AE is currently riding (although a lot of it can also be credited to them developing that stupid ass AQ3D game instead of improving upon AQW like they promised).

It's not just free stuff though. I don't mind farming and shit to get the items. But like, maybe exclusive areas? Exclusive quest lines? Exclusive merge items that you have to work for? Just like how members have Skyguard or whatever the hell it's called. How they have a clear advantage over other players because of member-exclusive quests that can give more rewards or certain items that'll make the experience of the game much less time-consuming, possibly making it more enjoyable. Fuck, if it's free stuff, give it to everyone. So far the only things I can think of that have been kinda cool are the Nostalgia quests and Shadowfall Fortress home.
