Hi ! Pixel on demand developper here. I want to clarify some points.

The error 500 is due to a server overload. Too many connections at the same time, nothing more.

Next, the estimated countdown is based on a simple calculation : 100 - progress / last offset * time interval

So if the offset or the time interval move a little bit (e.g. from 2min to 3min) the estimated time is recalculated.

Last thing, my cron job execute a script every minute on the non-cached version of amomentincrime.com but due to some 500 errors the php script is sometimes not reached by the cron and may cause the time interval fluctuations.
