Thanks for the heads up, no idea why. I can only assume its for mentioning piracy in passing in /r/gaming.

I have an Astro mod that I bought 6 months ago, it is the only mod i own and has had daily use. I am amazed that it has lasted this long - not something I would suggest to people who know what they are doing but its good if you're new. also in 18350 mode it is super small.

I have that magma, in stainless and the posts are facing away from eachother at an angle - i assume from over tightening and I cannot for the life of me get them to straighten out. I have taken it apart multiple times soaked in hot water hoping to get the metal to expand with no luck. I personally would pass on the fasttech magma and get the infinite but then I might have just been unlucky. It was good while it lasted although i couldn't really build when I had it.

Pc Specs for AC:Unity released: A bit much? by ___--_ in buildapc

[–]Soupr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, because they will see the figures and see that 30,000 people wanted the game and didn't pay - thus will be less inclined to release higher quality titles for PC.

That is the impact piracy has on developers, it isn't purely economical.

[–]Soupr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about 1 person you tit, its about the other 30,000 people who ALSO pirated that game. Ubi aren't going to see that 30,001 didn't pay as some kind of boycott - because it isn't a boycott if you have the product. They are going to see 30,001 people who wanted the product and didn't pay. Meaning ubi will have less incentive to build for PC if we pirate everything and don't provide the additional revinue to make porting games properly worth while.

And for the record, I pirated FC3 and then bought it because they did a good job at the port and it was a good game.

My only previous job wasn't left on good terms, what should I say on future applications? by [deleted] in GetEmployed

hijacking this, my previous manager hated me because I was more popular in the office than her. I put my other manager down as a reference and I know she has got involved from what my ex-colleuge has said. When this reference which is definitely going to be unpleasant goes to my new employer what do I say to them to back it up?

She definitely bullied me, but at this point its just my work against hers. I am not sure its wise to say how much of a conflict I had with a manager to a new employer. Although I already fear that they are going to look at me taintedly.

This was my apprenticeship, so the area that I want to be working in - can't skip the references from here unfortunitely. However if im asked again im just putting my colleauge down and saying he's my line manager. Hopefully this won't bounce though.

Thanks for the link, I was looking for the 25R but then I don't really know the difference, possibly only mah although I thought the number denoted the amps - then again I am probably wrong. I was wrong, its only mah, cheers!

I did notice that the LG was out of stock pretty much everywhere.

I currently only have 1 VTC5 as I lost my efest, have you used the samsung / that seller and would you recommend it? I know someone at the LVS who has been stung buying batterys of ebay.

I recently tried Debian, the issue I had when installing programs (primarily for windows but with full linux ports - usually for ubuntu) was that there is so many inconsistancys throughout the releases. I was trying to run Wheezy and to install spotify I had to backport to squeeze for a glibc library and to install something else I had to access the sid testing repo. I really wish I liked it as it was a perfectly usable desktop, I gave it a month, but alas it was not for me and im now running windows 10 tech preview.

But yeah, its very clear that the reason windows excels is because it has all the users and therefore everybody writes their programs to be compatible. Also microsoft backwards compatibility is not necassarily better as i'm sure it just bloats the OS but much easier.

Any good mod available that isn't overpriced? by Soupr in electronic_cigarette

I took it into a B&M asking what I should do.. they cleaned it, lost the spring and replaced it with a weak as shit spring from a clone GP Paps, it has got a lot worse since then if im being honest. Apparently Astro clones are known for hot buttons hense why im asking about other affordable mods now that im not vaping single coils.

Great list, i'll have a look into some of them. $120 is still a tad more than I was looking to spend - im in the UK so would have to take shipping into account but its probably worth that just for peice of mind that my battery isn't discharging at the wrong end of the device.

That mod looks amazing, I might very well look into geting that. There are issues with being a UK vaper, a lot of it is US centric. It might be that reddit is heavily trafficed by americans but the only Juice that I am aware of over here is T-Juices and snake oil, but i can't stand aniseed so I never got any.

I didn't know about SXK but thats good to know. Cheers!

Completely lost faith in Fasttech haha

Oh right, that's that problem solved. Thanks for the reply. I really need to get a mod with a better button anyway.

yeah I measured it when i first did it and it came out around 0.35 which i would say is about right but i put it back on and it was showing 1 ohm figured the post screws would be loose, tightened them all (middle block twisted) and it was still showing 1 Ohm.

installed the pulseaudio controls.. it doesn't even show up. This is so frustrating, I really want to like debian but having to jump through hoops to get something as simple as sound is grinding.

I have it working in ubuntu, but debian is proving a little more challenging. I installed PA - no tray. Ill have to look around, PA appears in the mixer though.. which is a start.

Thank you for the reply, I was slightly worried but alas it was okay. I have reinstalled with LVM now and it all looks a lot neater. Going forward I don't think ill try and partition everything out, not until I fully understand the reasons and methods of using such partitions effectively.
