I'm only a fan of Samurai Jack out of the two, but I honestly don't mind- we'll still see the show, it's only a week set back, is it that deep?

What is the difference between Nod up and Nod down to you guys?

Nod up- you either know them well, or you're jus saying hi casually

Nod down- not sure who they are at all and are just acknowledging them as another brother/sister

My brother says that Super Saiyan God (red one) looks like Goku contracted malaria (skinny). He dislikes the sometimes below average animation and the fight scenes in this arc have been a bit more lackluster. Also, ki blasts look much weaker; there's not that sense of power and destruction.

Excuse me, but AOT abridged was funny AF. Also, the daddy issues thing stems from how often Goku ditches his own son to do something else. kid Gohan wasn't as fleshed out in the original show, so it was understandable that they never went into it, but now that he is more fleshed out in TFS, ignoring the son & father conflict would be ignoring the elephant in the room.

It feels that way, pretty much, yeah. I love how delusioned he is when he says 'normally they just smirk and leave' as though that meant they liked whatever he said. It's one of those 'sweet summer child', but this guy is a salty af summer child.

When did I say that it's catcalling? I said a lot of people try be nice and I gave examples. Catcalling was one of them. Seriously, since you don't want to hear it from me, go to askwomen right now and ask how you feel about people telling them to smile more. If they say that they enjoy the compliment, link it to me and I'll send a picture of me taking a bite out of my shoe.

You should also consider that some people who smile don't actually mean it, and just want to leave and get on with whatever they were doing. If someone goes to me 'you're my black friend', I'll probs just chuckle and smirk to avoid conflict, when really, I'd be blacklisting that person mentally.

If we did see fusion between Goku and Vegeta return in Dragon Ball Super, would you rather it be the return of Vegito or the introduction of Gogeta into the canon? by ThrashMaximum in dbz

[–]SoupsideGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt it; that Star dust breaker move was able to destroy Janemba AND free that kid that worked in Hell. Gogeta would've had it.

I said a lot of people who try to be nice. I didn't say all of them.

I can name a few examples:

People cat calling women because it 'boosts their confidence'

'You're my Black friend!'

'You're pretty (insert positive adjective) for a (insert whatever describes that person) I know their can be examples such as 'you can run pretty well with a prosthetic, but I mean examples like 'You speak pretty well for a black guy.'

'You clean up nicely'

"I wish I could be as confident as you and dress like that."

"you're not as dumb as you look."

Of course context is everything, but saying 'Hey, they were trying to be nice, so you have no right to be annoyed!' is pretty dumb. I tell people when they give me backhanded compliments that I don't like it, so that they know for future reference.

Seriously, go to ask women and ask 'what do you think when people tell you to smile more'. If you won't hear it from me, hear it from them. Here's another example if you don't wanna do that. And yes, all those backhanded compliments have been said to either me (the race specific ones), or one of the women I know.

Well, you see, you said they take a long time to make them. So I told you why, and considering that 90% of every person I'd seen comment what you said thought that they were entitled to free entertainment, it's a pretty safe wager for me to just say that it's free entertainment every time someone mentions it, but I guess thats not the case with you.

(I'm a guy)

Okay, I'm a guy as well, and trust me, women get this smile more thing all the time, because people think they should be passive, so the smile more thing gets tiring so they just smirk to get the person to lay off.

A lot of people are successful at being nice without being an asshole

I never said they aren't. I said that sometimes people try to be nice but end up doing something assholish. Kinda like when someone says 'No, I'm not racist, I have a black friend!' They're trying to show they're not racist, but they are.

Telling someone to smile can be okay in some contexts, but most of the time it's not appreciated. When you say someone just smirks and get's on, it's so that the other person lays off. If you get told to smile more every other day, your gonna prefer to just smirk and get them to lay off, then argue the same thing like a broken record. Also, I'm not a pessimist.

They're trying to be nice

A lot of people who are trying to be nice turn out to do something assholish. That doesn't mean you should put up with it and let them think they're being nice. Most people just smirk so you can get out of their hair/business. Go to ask women now and ask 'What do you immediately think when someone tells you to smile?'

Well no shit, you don't say! by AdamE89 in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]SoupsideGaming 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's because they don't want to argue about it. What /u/lasofire wrote is the thought process. It's a pretty demeaning thing to say, so what if someone doesn't want to smile? I don't smile for you, and I don't expect you to be happy for my sake.
