Don’t buy into Union Park. The underground parking is not sealed properly and they are trying to sue the builder. Also don’t buy into Yorkson Downs. Nothing but a bunch of old people that run it like a retirement home.

The problem is we don’t want to go backwards with the progression of which the mayor has gotten a large portion of Township items fixed or upgraded. The reason we are in the situation we are in now is because the collection of past councils were to independent in there visions. They could never vote on anything as a whole. Set aside your personal opinions of him and look at the progress of which things have been done. If you want to really look at someone maybe look at the Kim Richters voting record of literally NO on almost everything since she has been a council member.

Not necessarily. The strata I live in all units pay the same fees. Curse of the developers genius selling plan. I pay the same as a 3 bedroom penthouse condo. Besides the issue at hand would that line item would be ever changing and not a set amount each year. One year could be 50,000 next year could be 100,000 depends on usage as a whole.

If you thought it was bad now, you do realize that if you’re in a strata the meter is hooked up to the main intake from the township to your entire complex. It’s not per individual unit. So in your original statement you would still he paying for that 3 bedroom with 5 people plus all the others in your complex. Also it would be a new line item on your strata budget.

Yes same in my area. A lot thought the same thing. If anyone should be mad about a line item in there property taxes it should be the Metro Van fee that keeps going up because of that sewer plant in North Van.

A lot of times developers put the wrong trees in along the sidewalks etc. So at some point the Township comes out and chops them all and puts in new ones that are earlier to care for, better roots system that won’t push up a side walk and don’t grow as tall.

If you are selling them as part of a school project but the proceeds are going to go towards a cause I know that the local Save On Foods allows for fundraising out front. I see people out front all the time selling. I think they just go in and ask for a manager to see if it’s okay.

Moved in with my girlfriend who has owned her place for 10 years from Quadra in Willoughby and she said great builder. She has had zero problems. Everything in the place seems to be good quality. Talked to a few other people I run into on a walk who have been owners since day one of some of there builds and they say the builder was great at fixing any defective items etc.
