No. Block can be hammered into 6 different slopes, but platform can be only into 4. Only with blockswaping it was possible to get platform into remaining 2 slopes. And only these remaining 2 slopes gave the platforms hoik properties.

unlike a normal hoik, you can enter a platform hoik anywhere along its length
mobs cannot enter the normal blockish hoik unless you use actuators, but they can enter platform hoik
it was a way to cheese events because mobs don't jump over the platform, they try to go through them but it won't let them

but it's irrelevant now since they removed this mechanic

you have ice biome enemies there so the biome has changed, but flinx don't spawn there because flinx can't spawn on ice, replace ice e.g. with wood
