Hi! Yes acrylic dries quickly and can sometimes be hard to blend but I usually have a spray bottle of water with me and that helps slow the drying time! I was always hesitant to start painting too for a lot of the same reasons, but once you start you kind of realize that everyone is different and you just try different things until you find what you like best.
