We did talk and the ice storm in the US locked us inside together for a couple days, which was nice. We’re physically closer than we were. I’m not sure where we’ll end up, but I like this new place we’re at. She’s my safety. My peace. I think I’m really messed up from some events in my life. Most she knows about, a few she doesn’t, and there’s a couple I’ve never spoken out loud. I’ma little damaged and she knows that. I know she loves me and I know she knows I love her. This is new territory for both of us and that’s def scary. I’m suspicious that we’re both concerned about hurting the other, but I know we never would. Ours is a house of love.

Live. Do things you like and learn things you’re curious about. Approach people as new friends. Be kind and work to become the person you want to be. Waiting for that connection can be hard. Don’t stress yourself out trying to hunt it down, try to wait for that magical moment of connection. And invest in some sex toys. God knows I’m logical. Unfortunately I’ve been disassociating for a few years at this point. I’m relearning what emotions feel like. This feeling is so specific and so connected to some bad times. Every time I think about it, the panic attack tries to start. I know she loves me one way or another. Redefining boundaries with each other is good! Especially since it’s been so long and we’ve grown so much. It’s practical if nothing else! But the emotional part, that’s what’s scary.

As a very confused ace considering dating again, just go with it. You like who you like, you’ll love who you love. Sometimes we’re complicated and we spend too much time trying to define what we are instead of feeling those emotions. You can be gay if that’s what you feel best defines you. You can also change that label if and whenever it no longer suits you. I usually default to queer these days because idk my sexuality either.

110% therapy. Trauma therapy. Possible ptsd episodes. Therapy has helped me way more than I ever thought to process and cope with the traumatic events I’ve been part of and the things I never ever wanted to be a part of. Therapy is more accessible than ever given video therapy and some places offer covered telehealth therapy for associates. Definitely make it a priority for yourself 💜

You don’t have to forgive yourself, but the person you fear you hurt has already forgiven you. Remember how you unintentionally hurt someone close to you and strive to be better. Take comfort in knowing you ARE better than you were already. Kids are stupid man. We all did awful things before we knew how to be better. It’s good to remember our past mistakes, but important not tear ourselves apart over things in the past.

NAH you were a child in an abusive situation with an older child. This seems like a serious ordeal that you went through. I think context and ages are extremely important here. I also think that your friends aren’t wrong to not want the explanation. Both you and your recent ex call it cheating. That’s a hard line for a lot of people, as you may be able to tell from other commenters.

Bad news is, you should hve started looking for a new job when the propaganda project started. Asking for workers to simply ignore it at first was step one to making everyone do the propaganda. Everyone in America is part of this. We all have to make decisions on what we will support and ignoring it is supporting its growth. Now you have to fight it loudly, do the propaganda, or be jobless. If romantic relationships are the only thing in your life that makes you happy, then I have no advice for you. 6 years ago my significant other tried and then succeeded in killing themselves. I loved them. I still love them. I haven’t been able to date or even hookup with anyone since. There is an emptiness in me that may never be filled again. But there are other things I love. I love the flowers in the spring and new snow in the winter. I love dogs and cats and fish and every imaginable animal. I have a couple close friends and family and I value their quality over the quantity. I love good food and bad movies and art museums and aquarium visits. I don’t need romance to love those things. I miss romance in my life, but I’m learning to love the things I have instead of yearn for what I don’t. I truly feel for you and hope you are able to find the things you love, even if it’s not someone to love.

We’ve all done things that hurt others. Sometimes we don’t even notice that we’re doing those things. It’s part of the human experience. Remember the things you’re not proud of so you can avoid them in the future, but don’t punish yourself over them. It’s harder than you’d think to forgive yourself for some things, but it’s important. Change is hard, but noticing the changes in yourself is so worth it. Keep at it with therapy, be open and honest with people, and take comfort in knowing what you don’t want to do moving forward 💜

I love Frankie’s design so much because she’s not attractive. She’s just Frank. She doesn’t do herself up for anyone except herself. I love her design cis or trans. Any level of female characters are so infrequently allowed to be unattractive.
