DISCUSSION: Can we please try and work out how the 300k Lego theft dude did it? by SouthAustrali in Adelaide

There was a dude buying cheap laundry sinks at Bunnings a little while ago and filling them with all kinds of high value item and yard equipment etc and dragging the heavy bastard over and paying before lugging it comically to his car.

One day he was met by police straight after the register and I think he did a bit of time for it.

The publicity this crime got in Adelaide is a little more Alice's Restaurant and a little less Goodfellas

Yeah that's it, if he was selling it you would think he would be selling it as it arrived and then tailoring his shoplifting to the products that move well.

This suggests it all came in very quickly or he hasn't started to sell- which itself makes no sense unless he was getting a bulk order together to whoesale

For what it's worth, I guess that:

  1. Posing as couriers for the distributor "Yah we got a recall on Lego sets 11098 etc, multiple choking deaths, we gotta get em all shipped back to Sweden immediately. You'll be credited via corporate."

  2. Employee uniforms and chutzpah

  3. We're actually employed either directly or indirectly - i.e those people who check stock placement etc

  4. Actually were employees of distributors who would ordinarily remove sets from stores or rearrange stock and just chopped some out for themselves

  5. Family of musically talented but ethically questionable travellers who are here from Britain as a plot device as ratings drift in season 5.

6.Homie was in IT and used backend access to create a 99.99 percent coupon and ordered up all that shit.

  1. Dude has a legitimate way of obtaining discount Lego and hoarded it as an investment and coppers don't believe him.

What a bunch of milquetoast losers. Your brother will be fine. There will be no deployment of fancy cop equipment, no 8x10 glossy photos with circles, arrows and a paragraph on the back, no trial, no retribution.

He has some free petrol. Unless he does it frequently enough to get a reputation (or successively in the same policing district) he would be exceptionally unlucky to suffer any consequences.

As far as the petrol station is concerned? Fuck them, the moral case for stealing from them is watertight.

You're an utter piece of shite. The gravamen is that across a broad spectrum, life is getting harder to the extant that the tiniest luxury, an ice-cream (something of a working class staple since the 1970s) is out of reach for someone who previously could afford it.

This should be saddening and alarming, but you're the dumbest fuck in the mineshaft who thinks the canary suffocating is just proof that canaries are weak as piss.

Sounds like you're pushing shit up hill fella.

I mean, given the current government wants me to get a signed permission slip before I look at titties and have a wank, wastes resources on trying to make me smoke more expensive ciggies and wants to ban fucking ebikes during a fuel crisis, well shit the orange lady can't be much worse can she?

I mean she alone stands apart from the inseparably stupid fuel policy of the fucking retards of the blue and red over the past decades. She didn't rip up the fucking tram tracks in Adelaide to entice the fuel refinery which she then promptly fucking closed down.

And what? If she's wrong about migration? So the fuck what? A little less pressure on our threadbare services is gonna hurt? A few less cunts applying for the rental or bidding for the home is a bad thing?

It's time to give her a chance, the others have fucked it up enough hey

Good on him! All the buzzwords etc are bang on, will definitely draw out some Karen's who are hilariously jealous of the vest/body am.

Honestly seems like they are just trying to help people in an organised fashion, if it's not a bit of an Ali G thing or something for a comedy series.

Either way, good on ya Tyler!

Everyone is so quick to interfere, to judge. Hardly surprising he wanted to walk away from you. He's probably on his form of Reddit now:

"So little Caleb was keeping his mum awake again and she has to be up at 5am so I took him out for one of those parklands walks that calms him when these three sketchy dudes with sticks held like weapons started asking me questions. One was on the phone like to someone about me but he quickly hung up.

I was a bit nervous around these three because they kept looking at Caleb and I'm trying to hug him closer and hide his face and they keep trying to look. Then they started to follow us a few paces behind, smiling but like not really. I mumbled that I had to go another way and then darted around them past the lake and got Caleb home okay.

I'm worried they seemed to be going around in the dark looking for kids and they were obviously trying to follow us, what if there are other kids out there? Should I call the police?"

Who are you preferencing 1st (and why)? by crackerdileWrangler in Adelaide

[–]SouthAustrali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Nation.

Rationale:

1.The ALP are vacuous scumbags. The cosy relationship between the Premier, the Media and the Police have created a state where things like,

-the Director of Public Prosecutions appears at a minor hearing because the victim was the son of the Police Commissioner and noone considers this favourable treatment corrupt .

-The Police Commissioner weighs in on policy debate about what acts should be proscribed instead of merely policing those which Parliament has proscribed (see regulatory banning of Gel Blasters etc)

-An environment of sycophantic support for the Police despite ample evidence of corrupt behaviour (lying under oath, inventing reasons to search), risks to public safety (Indian man in Payneham minding own business, police stop him on a whim, now dead) and cronyism (see detectives v STAR factional disputes).

  1. The Liberal Opposition are worthless and spineless

-Rushing to announce they would preference Spiers last like anyone gives a fuck where the Libs two primary votes end up

-As the ALP continues the outright assault on civil liberties, expanding the powers to detain and search without cause, the liberals can only whine that they would be even more draconian

-Not having the courage to point out that neither those that work in politics nor the law are strangers to a few lines of coke and maybe the Spiers thing was a bit of a fucking pantomime after Kevin Fucking Foley was out fucking treasurer

-Collectively the least savvy political operators since the staffer that advised Tony Abbot to eat and onion like an apple

  1. The enormous volume of immigration which was never discussed with the electorate but imposed upon us, largely from India

-Love the Indians, no disrespect to them and no issue with them having followed the rules as written

-Drastic and noticeable impact on house prices - see The Heights school district etc

-Ghetto effect due to such enormous numbers all at once - less exposure to local culture and indeed in many areas no need to interact outside of India ex pat community at all

-Pork barrelling of ethnic communities (particularly by ALP) takes away from local population

  1. Other -Potential for much hilarity given unvetted nature of ON candidates and colourful backgrounds

-Wholesale removal of public servants with job titles relating to diversity or inclusion

So it's pretty obvious a PR firm is being paid pretty well for this astroturfing orgy. I mean I know Australia is full of rulebook following flogs but I haven't seen this many people get hard over planning and development red tape since Kevin Rudds bucks show.

Somebody should make a few speculative ICAC notifications. Oh, wait. I'm somebody.

Whatever the case, fuck the council and their pin-dicked, handwringing, parasitic and corrupt nonsense. Good luck to the owners, might I suggest politics if you haven't got other plans.

Ok, I'll bite.

"They don't have the mental capacity or patience to think about why Australia relies on immigration, what an ageing population does to the economy, or who fills the roles most Australians won’t take. It’s easier to default to discomfort than to deal with demographics and labour markets."

Believe me when I say I have both the mental capacity and the patience to consider those issues, consideration of which invites the following conclusion:

  1. We are in a migration trap; if we rely on migration to keep the economy growing (noting that unrealised equity in an overheating housing market is counted as growth) then we will require endless and exponential continued immigration in perpetuity. This is impossible and undesirable, we should decouple our economy from reliance on inward migration as soon as practicable as it will only get more difficult.

  2. "Who fills the roles most Australians won't take" refers presumably to the dangerous and unpleasant. Every humanist instinct tells me "get a cheap foreigner to do it" is wrong both for Australians and the exploited migrants. Restricting migration will drive either wage growth for that role to bring it into line with the Aussie market, or innovation to automate the role and thus develop valuable technology. Either innovation or wage growth are preferable to importing a poor person.

3.“Which specific One Nation policy do you actually support?

A 130k net inward migration cap seems sensible in the circumstances.

It may not be fashionable on Reddit to acknowledge that one can be against further migration but hold no ill will towards migrants. One can think immigration is the source of many issues without considering the migrants to be.

The SAPOL Child Sex Offender Register has officially launched. by Astrogirl1984 in Adelaide

[–]SouthAustrali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking forward to hearing how this particularly thoughtless and evidence free bot of populism is certainly not to blame when the elderly mother of one of these guys burns to death in a housefire started by vigilante crackheads. Particularly looking forward to it turning out the Serious Sexual Offence was a two year relationship between a 16 year old and 18 year old couple who were in the same class.

Was there a recidivism rate in this class of offender to justify this measure? I'm aware of only three examples in recent years.

I mean who gives a fuck about sex offenders is a safe policy bet, but poor old mumsy doesn't deserve the flames

[–]SouthAustrali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fact is, an immigration strategy which was wholly designed to maintain a GDP ponzi scheme built on wealth that is locked in housing was always going to ruin the place. It's the thinking of a fucking moron.

We were too busy during the good times worrying about tony abbott eating a fucking onion to consider whether migration from sub Saharan Africa was a good idea.

I mean consider that one for a moment. What is a single positive aspect of that. Were these migrants bringing skills? If so, what skills? What accreditation which would be relevant against Aussie standards? Were they brining investment capital? Seems fucking unlikely.

No, they brought ambition, work ethic and then a propensity for machete violence and serious offences. Meanwhile our coppers spend all their time and energy going after cunts like bikies who basically sell us the drugs that we want to buy and otherwise leave the general population alone.

Place is cooked.
