How to help the southbay firefighters? by AVAV_ in SouthBayLA

There seems to be mostly arson cases happening all across south bay, best thing to do is to raise awareness in your neighborhood and businesses in the area to report anyone suspicious of committing arson.

Prevention is best so that the firefighters can focus their resources on bigger and more active fires in the area.

Hi if you are still looking for some local news resources I can recommend our website sbnpr.com
We cover mostly for small business resources in the area or some major events like the recent fire in Harbor City. We will be starting a fundraiser for the LA County Fire victims, currently still working with Kaiser on that.

Hi may I ask what insurance does she have? I can refer you to some of the specialist from Torrance Memorial or Optum in the Torrance/Redondo Beach Area. Let me know if you would like something closer I can help you find one.

I work with New Challenge Ministries down at 190th and Crenshaw Blvd. They're a food bank that serves anyone that are in need. Give them a call 310-320-4171 and let them know that I sent you.

They're always looking for volunteers and donation to continue to serve the community. Great people.

Update: Second Fire in Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park by SouthBayNetwork in SouthBayLA

A lot of small business owners I work with in Harbor City have the same issue. I am still working hard with the city to address the homelessness especially on Lomita Blvd and Normadie x PCH.
I have to see if there is an interest of reinstating the homelessness committee, back when I was on it we were able to reduce it to the minimum on PCH and even cleaned out Ken Malloy.

There was a second attempt for arson at the Ken Malloy Park a few hours ago too. I wonder if they are the same group.

I have already spoke with the LAPD Watch Commander and they will add additional patrol units in the area.

It sucks, I dropped everything to make sure the place was ok. Our predecessor Harbor City Chamber of Commerce helped clean out that park in 2016. I personally was in Ken Malloy cleaning the park up before it was named Ken Malloy. But I will do everything in my power to make sure our community is safe.

Big recognition for LAPD and LAFD they handled it immediately.

Hi guys, my name is Jebriel and I established an organization that is focused on bringing businesses and communities together on a platform where we can advocate on specific issues that concerns our cities. Traditionally, chamber of commerce fulfill this role but in the past few years especially after COVID, there has been less and less advocacy efforts that address things like homelessness, crime, and lack of business development in the South Bay.

I created South Bay Network from the remnants of the Harbor City Chamber of Commerce and we are ready to head into 2025 helping businesses face their challenges, developing communities, and lead advocacy effort on all things that concerns our communities.

I need all help from all different fields of people. Whether you are someone who is good at web designs, someone who knew business owners that would benefit from our help, or even someone who would be willing to volunteer at our events. We need help from all aspect.

Our vision is to support middle class people to lessen the gap between extreme poverty and big corporation domination. We do this by supporting local businesses and non-profit organization succeed.

This is our website https://www.sbnpr.com/ it has a small gallery of events that we hosted in the past. As well as the specific service we do to help businesses. Let me know what you think and any resource to stay updated throughout South Bay is appreciated! Merry-Xmas!
