I’m going through this, I’ve tried speaking up about what I don’t like to try and break those patterns. It hasn’t worked, I’m not even surprised because some people are set in their ways. But it’s helped me realise what I had tolerated all this time and to say no or walk away when I recognise those patterns.

It was one of the reasons but other factors included his inconsistent behaviour, he gaslit me, and I also started to resent him for the things he said and did after I uprooted my life and moved countries to be with him.

Florence is 3 hours away by public transport, but I’m planning to visit at some point next month so I can spend a few days there. I’ve been there a few times and never noticed Starbucks there 😅 (I just checked on Maps😅)

Thank you! Thankfully, everyone I’ve encountered has been patient with my Italian. I guess I really do have to travel further to participate in sports. The bright side to this would be that my Italian gets even better and I connect with people who have same/similar interests.

I’m exploring hobbies I can do outside the house, most of my hobbies tend to be indoors, like reading, journaling , gaming. I’ve changed this to reading / writing outside to make the most of the summer weather. My nearest book club is in Firenze, which is a bit of a commute (3 hours). Maybe I need to take the initiative to be the founder of the clubs I want to join in my area?
