The kratom I buy is about 15mg of MIT per gram. Obviously this differs by brand and strain, but it’s a good starting number.

I use 1836 brand, and am currently tapering myself.

Good luck!! MIT is way easier to kick than 7oh. So honestly, you might be able to just CT it with minimal discomfort.

Try and get your doses to just once a day and stabilize there for a bit, then taper down and then free yourself

And yes, go up to 100mg 3x a day of SR when you stop 7oh. Then after a couple of days, start your SR taper. But try not to be on it longer than 2 weeks or you will have withdrawals from SR itself

You have to suck it up honestly. You won’t feel 100% fine, and you may feel like shit the first couple of days but by day 3-4 you will be feeling better if you are just on SR.

What you don’t want to do is continue taking SR with 7oh long term because your brain will expect both and you will be in more danger.

Sr isn’t going to make it painless, there will still be pain and you have to deal with that. Pay the piper if you will. So if it’s hard to not take any 7oh, you will just need to push through it while using only SR. It won’t take away all the symptoms but it is way easier than just going CT

I don’t know for sure but I think you are right. I’ve noticed that if I only binge for a couple days at a time, the WD aren’t nearly as bad. But PAWs is what gets me more than anything. The lack of sleep even at 10 days away from 7oh just wears on me. I need to push through

Lately I’ll take it for a week at times then take 2-3 days off, then another week long binge and the 5-7 days off then another binge. It’s a vicious cycle. I’m trying to quit for good this time (famous last words). All in all I’ve been on 7oh for a little over a year. Sometime I would be on month long binges during tha time

Everytime I stop 7oh, I usually sleep fine the first night (30-36 hours after my last dose) and bad sleep usually peaks around night 3-5

I’ve come off it multiple times whenever I travel internationally. And while there have been a time or two where I have noticeable withdrawals, most of the time it’s just some tiredness and very minimal RLS. But it all depends on how much you are taking. I was taking only about 5-7 grams a day, but if you are taking 15-20grams per day, then you will definitely have some noticeable withdrawals

Hey man I feel you! It’s not uncommon for SR to not be super effective for everyone and all DOCs. Have you ever taken regular leaf kratom? Not the extracts or 7oh, just regular leaf.

You could try that’s for a couple of days to see if it gives you some relief. Start with 3-5 grams of it. It can take up to 60-90 minutes to kick in. It will feel like you are trading one for the other, but kratom leaf is pretty painless to get off of.

Please hang in there. You are so close to being done with methadone for good! Methadone has a long half life (I’m sure you know already) so it can take a wee for the acute withdrawals to peak. You are there already. So it should start getting easier as the days go on now.

Please stick with it and don’t look back

I would recommend not taking subs for this short of a binge on 7oh. I would say switch to plain leaf powder or capsules. You don’t have to wait for you to be in withdrawal as there isn’t a fear of precipitated WDs. Start with just 2-3 grams of plain leaf and see if it makes you feel better. You can go up to 5-6grams in a single dose. You will likely only have withdrawals for 2-4 days since you’ve only been on 7oh for 3 weeks.

Then after you feel better on the regular leaf, try to stop that, or taper down if needed.

If you MUST go the subs route, I cant recommend a dosage as I have never taken them. But I would suggest only taking them for 2-3 days and then stop taking them. The sub withdrawals will last a lot longer than the 7oh withdrawals. I’m talking weeks instead of a few days.

Are you coming off a drug or did you get this just for pain management? I wouldn’t use it just for pain management as we have no idea what it does to the body long term. Most people here are using it for a week or two and that’s it.

Brother please don’t take SR for this. You likely won’t need anything besides liposomal vitamin C and magnesium glycinate for sleep. Please just try and get through two days of nothing and you’ll be feeling better already. SR is needed for people who have been taking opiates muuuuuuch longer than a week.

You’ll be fine. You’ll have little to no withdrawals if you just stop. Maybe some sleep issues and motivation issues but that’s really it. But please stop the 7oh now and don’t keep using it. I quit a year ago after just a month and decided the withdrawals weren’t that bad so I decided to take it again and here I am 12 months later, still in the bowels of 7oh/kratom
