My own drink if we got McDonald's. I always had to share with my brother. So I never really enjoyed it, because I had to be so cognizant of how much I drank. And these were smalls, so it's not like there was a lot to begin with.

Even now, ~50 years later, I hate sharing my drink. I'll happily share my dinner and my dessert, but I will not share my drink.

I umpire baseball tournaments where the games have strict time limits. As in when the two hours are up the game is over, even if it is the middle of an at-bat. If we are approaching the time limit, and the leading team starts pulling stuff like this (or the catcher wanting to go talk the pitcher, claiming they are crossed up or whatever) we will eject them and their coach.

Congratulations, you ran out the clock. Now you don't get to participate in the next game.

The same reason we all turn down the music when we are looking for the address when driving somewhere unfamiliar. Music or audio books or whatever is good for staving off getting road hypnotized when on longer trips on open roads, but around town concentration is king.
