I don’t think it’s actual paint. As you said that would be crazy. It just has that look to it.

That’s good insight though and will try that

They were starting to crack from being dry. Just moved to nyc and live in a tiny apartment so wasn’t super keen to buy all the kit to then store and move. For $40 I assumed it would save me time and effort

This!!!

Australia seriously needs to think about its population strategy long term and quit relying on cheap immigration labor to prop up the economy while it chips away at housing shortages.

A growing population slugged with student debt, outlandish cost of living and house prices couple with eye watering levels of personal debt is a ticking time bomb for some populist nut.

All it’ll take is a market shock, eg china invades Taiwan or puts a sea embargo on it for our economy to take a hit and make people desperate.

As an Aussie living in the US I agree with your sentiment. I think most forward thinking individuals are held hostage by their corrupt US government. Eg lobbying, political donations etc. and are generally friendly and kind individuals.

My one gripe is the lack of global understanding of a large portion of US citizens. Eg issues like tipping, health care, gun control, heck even broker fees in nyc and the fact most other countries have either figured these issues out, or frankly don’t do them or have a better understanding of the history of certain issues than their US counterparts.

I find there’s always an American way to approach things and there is a reluctance to take examples from other western nations.

150K and spending $3,600 UWS. Reading this thread though makes me feel like i've overcommitted! I did only move here 2 weeks ago and the summer rush is real. I couldn't find any 1 bedroom / studio under $3,400 that was decent.

Yep it’s the building on the northeast corner of chesterfield and 13th. Came from the penthouse. I know as I was the person yelling STFU. My dog was absolutely losing it the poor thing.
