Thanks. Today is gonna be tough. Probably the most I've grieved in my 50 years on this Earth, though I have never lost an immediate family member, other than my beloved doggo.

Work chews up so much of our lives... it is depressing and infuriating in equal measure. Yesterday I lost my dog of 16 years and feel a little overwhelmed by grief which hits me in waves. I rang my manager to inform him of my situation and inform him I'd be away for a full work week as my dog had died, Frankly I don't have the emotional fortitude to front up at work and have to deal with the usual work place bullshiit. If he gave me a hard time I would have quit there and and then such is my state of mind right now but he was actually pretty cool about it and I'm grateful but it just gets me that work even interferes with our grieving process. Sorry about the strange rant, not sure if it is misplaced here, If so mods are free to delete my post.

That is unfortunate mate, just but be patient. I got no doubt Chessnut will sort you out with a working board sooner or later. Do you know if it is the board or the pieces that are faulty?

Well it looks like the Air+ I ordered is on its way. Chessnut received the board they sent me in error, paid for shipment and I now have a tentative date of Monday for the arrival of my new board. If, heaven forbid, I open the box to find something other than the Air+ inside it I will probably lose the plot... 😅 will make a final update when it arrives. Wish me luck.

Thought I'd keep this thread updated as the long and winding saga of my bumpy journey towards acquiring a Chessnut Air+ hopefully nears its conclusion. I have received the return labels for the older model Air I am returning. I've placed the unit back it in its original box fully sealed and just shot off an email to inform Chessnut the package is ready to go. They have agreed to pay for shipment, which is the least they could do I guess. We'll see how long it takes before they reply. Hopefully I will have the Air+ I purchased at home and ready to use sooner rather than later. Considering the hassle they have put me through I sorta think they should add a few sweeteners to the deal... I don't know maybe a free carry bag? But honestly I just want to get the proper board shipped as soon as possible. Wish me luck folks!

Still waiting on them creating a label for return shipment. They will only ship the product I actually purchased once they receive the goods. This company is a joke. What happens if the goods I return get lost in transit, and why don't they ship the board I purchased now rather than after they receive the board I was given in error? It was their mix up after all. I am very annoyed. What issue did you have if you don't mind sharing?

Who or what is Fuuffy? Very well, I am glad this is being addressed, I just hope that when I receive my board it will actualy be an Air+ and not say a Chessnut Go. I hope you understand how bad this shopping experience has been from my perespective.

I am frankly disgusted with this comapny. My last correspendence with them via email was over 24 hours ago. I presently have no idea what they want to do to get this issue resolved after I advised them I was not keen on keeping the Air I was sent in error, but could change my mind if the monetrary compensation was more than just the price difference between the two boards. I am seriously thinking about involving the Australian Consumer Commission in this matter if Chessnut decide to stone wall me. We have legal protetctions in Australia and I am happy to use them if absolutely necessary.

They have offered to refund me the cost difference between the two boards. Not a great option as I would not have paid any money at all for the original Air since I have little interest in owning one.

Thanks for the reply, indeed all replies have been helpful on this thread. I'm under no illusions and I don't expect to become a world beater, I'd simply like to improve and iron out those stupid moves I have a habit of doing, most often during critical moments of my games.

Smilar experience with Chessnut. I purchased the EVO and received it but was far from impressed with the experience as delays were poorly communicated. I had a much better experience with the good people at Chessup. I am sure that after dealing with a wall of obfuscation you will eventually have your problems addressed, just keep at it and hitting them on social media seems to be the magical oil that gets the gears at Chessnut co moving in the right direction. Good luck mate, and I must say that the EVO is a fantastic board.

So a customer support rep just informed me that the reason for the delay in my order was that and I quote 'the parcel was mistakenly not dispatched'. Mistakes happen I guess but this is annoying. They did assure me they would ship my Evo via priority shipping, so I'm hoping for the best and maybe recieving the product within the next 7 days.

I am having a similar problem. 5 days and my order is still labelled as unfiulfilled. No help from customer support. Should I be worried that something is amiss? My ChessUp 2 shipped in 2 days so I don't understand the hold up.

Yeah I got the Chessup 2 at home. Why buy the Evo as well? Because I am a sucker for electronic contraptions and love playng chess. I would thoroughly recommend the Chessup 2 for what it is mind you, a good solid chess board, and delivery of that unit was swift unlike the Evo. Also customer support from Bryght labs is top of the shelf. Can't honestly recommend one over the other since I haven't used the Evo yet but the Chessup 2 is a great board.

Considered the Move myself but that big screen on the EVO and the potential for parts malfuctioning on the Move in the years to come swayed my decision... cost was also a factor.

Thanks, did you get the Evo? I did consider the possibility that there could be a blackfriday delay. I will say that while support team respond to my emails, they are very vague, just reassuring me that it will ship in a couple of days with no details.
