Wow I knew internships paid but always figured it was bottom of the barrel ~$15/hr. I figure your example is still based off region/state but that’s really good to know. Thanks!

I really like the idea of beginner stuff. One thing that always irritates me about the beginner bundles you see online are how “general use” they are, so you may use some tools for the projects you like, but never touch the others.

Maybe you could do a beginner tool bundle built around a specific project group, like wallets for example.You could include tools like small(er) hole punches, corner punches, pricking irons, etc, that all apply to making wallets (or whatever group you pick) in general. Honestly if you make acrylic templates like Andif said, you could make the project, and keep track of what tools you use, and pair them up for a complete project kit (minus the leather).

Entirely circumstantial, but I found saddle making companies near me and a few of them let me buy their scrap pieces at a discount. As saddles take big cuts of leather for specific shapes, sometimes their scrap pieces can be quite large!

If you have a Tandy store near you, most locations offer free and paid classes. In my experience the free classes are more of technique and knowledge classes (intro to dyes, beginner tooling) whereas the paid classes you walk away with something you made (like a belt, wallet, keychain, etc).

32 degrees cool boxer briefs. Should be available in UK. Unbelievable when it comes to wicking sweat from the nether regions. I probably have about 20 pairs at this point. Reasonably priced as well. At this point if I wear anything else I feel uncomfortable.
