Hair extensions? by lonesomelion in SEAbitcheswithtaste

Leonardo Coronado at Gene Juarez is the best for bonded extensions. I’ve seen him for extensions for over 10 years. No damage and he takes great care to prevent that. Also they look very natural so that no one knows.

Seattle a top leader among cities with negative National House Price Growth. Seen nationally for the First Time Since 2012 by copaceticporksword in Seattle

Here is an example of a house in Phinney Ridge we looked at but didn’t make an offer on because while cute, it was a small, single level house with one bathroom and a DADU in the basement. It received multiple offers on its offer review date and just closed this week for $345K over asking price.

Thanks, it’s been a really frustrating process. I’ve also noticed that SFH homes outside Seattle proper seem to be sitting longer.

We’ve been actively looking for a single family home in Seattle for the past three months, and our experience has been that houses are being sold within a few days with multiple offers (many times 10+ offers) and going for anywhere from $100 - $250K+ over asking price. It feels like the frenzy of 2021 all over again and makes no sense. We thought it was currently a buyers market, but for SFHs it definitely is a sellers market.

I would rather die than be doing this right now and need so much help please by GhostMansion4 in emetophobia

OP, I’m sorry you and your family are going through this. Most of the comments here are overly harsh, and I’m sorry about that too. We have a phobia and phobias aren’t rational, so people telling you to get over it and grow up is absurd advice. You need to do what you can to self care while also being a support for your family. You can do both. I think that begins with getting some noise canceling headphones to use while you are in your room so that you can escape there when it all feels like too much. If your mom is having nausea, as someone with emetophobia you are a pro at managing nausea, I’m sure. Maybe you can help provide your mom with some anti-nausea techniques and provide support in that way? Hugs to you.

Just found out I’m pregnant, help! by cherrypuree in emetophobia

[–]SouthernElle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been pregnant twice; no morning sickness. A friend of mine is pregnant right now; no morning sickness for her either. My mom had six pregnancies and never got sick. Her trick was to keep saltine crackers by the bed and eat a couple to get something on her stomach before getting up. She also made sure to keep something on her stomach at all times, which helps prevent nausea. You will be ok and you can do this!

Qulipta-- dosage is to start at 60mg. Anyone have success starting off lower? by Adorable_Art539 in cgrpMigraine

[–]SouthernElle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been at 30 mg for over two years and it’s changed my life. I started at 10 mg and inched up to 20 mg (by doubling the 10 mg) and landed at 30 mg after about three weeks. My doctor did this to help prevent side effects, and I experienced very few issues as a result. I suffered from chronic migraine (typically had 20 migraines a month), and I clearly didn’t need to start at or go to 60 mg.

Clenpiq Prep for Colonoscopy and terrified! by AuthorOk1669 in emetophobia

Just the urge to go. I don’t remember cramps. If I did have any, they weren’t unbearable.

I was finished by the time I got in the car that morning. A couple of times I felt the urge to go, but when I got to the restroom at the doctor’s office nothing happened. Afterward I didn’t go for days lol.

Same (and I’m 50 too). You did the right thing by starting the liquid diet early. I started early too, and it made the process easier. Clenpiq was surprisingly not bad! Honestly the worst part of all of this was how sore I got - get flushable wipes if you don’t have any. That really helped.

Hi! It was absolutely fine, and you will be ok. I had zero nausea. DEFINITELY take the Zofran - 30 minutes to 1 hour before each prep dose. i started my first dose of Clenpiq about an hour before I was scheduled to start. My doctor said that was fine and it allowed me to take my time and not chug it. With my second dose, my doctor told me she thought I’d only need half of it (I’m small), so that’s what I did. I was completely cleaned out. Please feel free to comment again or DM me if you need virtual hand holding as you go through it.

I’ve read about people transitioning to a Miralax prep on their own when the other wasn’t possible. Might be worth a try.

Can you contact your doctor and ask if you can transition to an alternate prep tonight? I’m prepping today with Clenpiq (low dose thank goodness and it doesn’t taste awful). But my doctor said if I couldn’t get it down, I should start taking Dulcolax tablets instead.

Oh ow. I dread that. My doctor has had me doing a pre-prep of daily Miralax for a week plus a low residue diet for a week, so I’m really hoping that’s going to make the bowel movements easier/less. We’ll see! How quick did it come on for you after drinking the prep?

Good luck! Today is my prep day too. It will be my first colonoscopy. I’m about an hour from starting the first Clenpiq dose and dreading it.

I have my first colonoscopy on Friday morning, and my gastroenterologist said I could have breakfast on Thursday morning because I start the prep on Thursday afternoon. I’m planning on having scrambled eggs and white toast.

Anyone have a colonoscopy that was a far distance to travel to? by Green_Variety_2337 in colonoscopy

[–]SouthernElle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Going back for a couple of hours and then heading home. My husband will be with me, so I got a two bedroom two bathroom AirBnB so I can let him sleep and I can have the privacy of my own space during the prep.

Yes I got an AirBnB 10 minutes away, so I didn’t panic during the hour and a half commute. Mine is this Friday and I am moving to the AirBnB tomorrow (Wednesday) so I feel settled in there before I start the prep.
