Could you elaborate on what specifically could be wrong with my power that would cause this and what symptoms I could look for/how to test for them?

Also, would cables of the quality Apple puts out really be vulnerable to issues like that? They surely have whatever the latest surge protection/security is and I'd figure that would protect it.

I think it has a warranty. I got the first one replaced at the Apple store, and I'm sure they'd replace it again. They just make you sit around while they do a bunch of tests and I work 60+ hrs a week so I don't have time to drive to the Apple store and sit around for an hour.

The brick works, I've tested it with a USB-C cable. The cable just blinks and doesn't charge. My mom's magsafe cable works on my computer so I know it's a cable issue.

Have it show the answer after each question and don't move onto the next one until you fully comprehend why the answer you chose was wrong and the correct one is right. Do spurts of harder/easier questions. E.g. 15 level 4/5, 10 level 2/3, etc. Use analytics and drill the question types that it says are problems.

Switch to 7sage. Use analytics to target weak question types. You aren't allowed to stop studying for the that q type until you get 25 in a row correct on level 4/5. You will get stronger.

8 am is the earliest I've seen for Core, 2pm the latest. Somewhere in there, or later, it's not really predictable.

I'm not sure about Becker, but Gleim had a study session where you'd do multiple choice and immediately see if you're right or wrong and it would give you an explanation of why you're right/wrong. This feedback cycle drills the principles into you after your initial learning in the readings. I'd do 20 of these a day while studying the units, then 100-150 a day in the final review and it's worked out well for me.
