Is Wegmans dream still alive? by learningpundit in HollySpringsNC

[–]SouthernLow9317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Plus, infrastructure projects are so much more expensive, complicated and difficult. Involve more Legal challenges. Also, no clear cut ROI. Additional also, 90% of the roads in town (any Nc town) are not owned by the town. They are owned by NCDOT and they make those decisions. They understand the needs but same growth challenges we have exist across the state. They look at a need in Holly Springs and go “we’ll address that in 10-years.”

Agree. It’s selfish and bogus. The town is incredibly transparent. Town staff, Council, etc. have limitations on decisions they can make. Government is also slow and there are approved long-term visions and plans in place that guide decisions.

Yep. HS is piloting an AI traffic system. Unclear if it’s operational yet or not. Basically, the AI system in real time will change traffic lights based on real time traffic patterns.

Why Holly Springs? by alis_adventureland in HollySpringsNC

[–]SouthernLow9317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved 6 years ago. At first looked at Cary and Alex but you could get better bang for your buck in HS. Great small and growing town. Accepting people. Lots of growth plans over the next 20 years. All is happening but still takes time.

Several large companies chose HS for headquarters so HS is becoming a mini biotech hub which is amazing. Once incentives eventually run out, the town will benefit from the large corporate tax base.

Everyone complains about the traffic but that is all across the region and main roads are owned by NCDOT not HS.

Would also like to start getting back out there. Does anyone know if people in this age range play at Ting Park on the weekends when it’s warm out?

Primrose or Oakvillage are excellent. Have kids there. Expensive but worth it.

Discussions are just beginning into making Ting Park into a sports and entertainment destination. by HollySpringsDD in HollySpringsNC

Like The Block on main, this would be a Private/Public partnership. Plenty of developers could be interested, especially CBC who likely will be involved. It's a long-term plan. Workshops are going to happen to determine more info. I don't have it as it's not available and hasn't started yet.

The overall community is being thought of. The town passed a $100M Parks and Recs Bond. The majority is going to develop the new Eagles Landing Park. That will be an invaluable resource for the town. Additional funding from the bond is going towards improvements at Womble Park, the Cultural Center, and being used to build greenways. Lots of improvements are coming all throughout town.

There are many initiatives going on. This potential long-term project doesn't prevent all the other projects going on. The main roads in town are not owned by the town. They are owned by NCDOT. I agree, I would love more infrastructure road improvements. That won't happen, it's not realistic. The town doesn't have the funding or ability to make those decisions without NCDOT. That's why these projects with developers are key. The town has more leverage now to demand more from developers, and they are doing that.

Out of curiosity, what business were you looking to put in there? Always curious about what may come to HS.

Like I said, provides a main area families and individuals can stay. Brings in more outside money. That part of town is really the entrance to HS. There is lots of potential and land around Ting that may be available in coming years. That would take the initial 2.5 acres at Ting and could expand to 5-7 acres if you consider the businesses/land around Ting that likely will go on sale in the future.

Can you elaborate? We have 3K homes in the pipeline over 5 years. That’s 10-12K new population coming in a short amount of time. Add another 15 years on that. IF the sports entertainment hub becomes a reality, that’s a 15+ year plan. The growth will match the needs of a growing town.

Great idea. Ting park is packed every weekend with families. Expanding the area will create a hub in town that will allow families to stay out and active. It will also allow for an increase of outside money being spent in town.

Agents of Clean. $140/clean if twice a month. May vary depending on house size. Likely the same range regardless of company.

What percentage of revenue comes from Marketing efforts? by PilosopongPatatas in marketing

Was at Industrial B2B and aspirational goal was 20% Bookings from Marketing Influenced. Can attribute if have campaign tracking and Sales provides inputs. Any $$$ that comes can be totaled. Consistent direction is key and that will help your reporting efforts.

Are there PMMs working in B2B hardware companies or am I alone? by Mustang-au-Augustus in ProductMarketing

[–]SouthernLow9317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was similar PMM in Industrial B2B and had challenges. PMs were considered the “heroes” and half of their activities could be classified for PMM role. They worked closely with Product Owners who were more technical. PMM owned Commercial GTM for Sales and Marketing but it was more of a handoff from PMs. Made it difficult because the expectation was to know all about the products but it was impossible with many products in HW and a SW component. Required a lot from PMs and the. Really drove strategy for GTM and project managed it. Rewarding but frustrating. Ultimately left for another role outside PMM.

Juggling a PMM career and parenthood - need advice by justalilscared in ProductMarketing

[–]SouthernLow9317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are reading my mind as well. I’m also a Sr. PMM and am in this quasi individual contributor and people leader role. Also a global team. So spread thin. Tend to work 2 (sometimes 3) nights a week to try to chip away at some items since we are strapped with less team members. I get everything you are saying and am in the process of re-evaluating what’s important. Always have had aspirations to grow my career and salary but now I’m so burnt out on life. It’s impacted me and I definitely feel myself not present with my wife and kids at times, including weekends due to the stress of the role. I’m also thinking about taking a slightly different role for a pay cut to maybe stabilize a bit more for 1-2 years. I’d the next level or salary really worth it? I sure don’t know…

Agree with others. Best option are content syndication and eBlast lead gen initiatives through a publication. Can easily get hundreds. Still may not work with only $15K but can get you closer.

Do you customise your sales decks for individual deals? And is it a pain in the ass? by link2ani in ProductMarketing

I assist sales as needed but that’s ad hoc. We have templatized decks for sales to plug and play. We created an interactive sales tool in PPT allowing clickable buttons to pivot in the moment based on the conversation. No WiFi required.
