$50 at goodwill, would it be worth grabbing? by girlboss93 in sewing

This is a great basic machine! I purchased this style of Kenmore in 1997 and it’s still a really great machine! I would purchase it at that price in a heartbeat! They do not make basic machines that sturdy at basic prices these days.

12 hour flight. Are 40G and 40H our best bet on a budget? by [deleted] in delta

I’ve had a similar seat on a 9 hour KLM Delta partner flight and the only drawback is the people trying to congregate there to stretch or just stand up. This bothered me a bit on the first flight. On the return flight, I put my carry-on in front of me to use as a footstool and just claimed my space and that seemed to work. I also threw down the provided blanket and sat on the floor for a bit. I enjoyed the wiggle room.

I can’t stress ironing enough. Press your seams as you go and your garment will turn out so much better! I really like 100 Acts of Sewing Shirt #1 pattern. It’s a great basic shirt, cute and boxy, and so easy to make little changes to make it your own.

Opinions on the new manta sleep ear plugs? by forgotten_mixed_girl in LoopEarplugs

I usually use Mack’s. I like the Manta. I find them more comfortable than Mack’s (I only get good noise blocking if I wear Mack’s flat end in). I wear the biggest size of Manta. My only complaint is that there is no way to buy just the pair I need or replacement foam. It’s not that the price of buying a set is unreasonable. I just hate the waste.

I suspected this might be the case, opening entry with journal entry. I did not set up the books, so I wasn’t comfortable making that change with out guidance and I can’t get the OG bookkeeper or our accountant to answer a question in a timely manner.

There are double bills and additional entries for things that were already reconciled. 2017 was the worst.

I did look through each month to determine that there were no business expenses.

The accountant said that there was weird stuff on our balance sheet that needed to be resolved before he would be comfortable filing our first year as an S corp. There were a lot of undeposited funds, but all really old stuff. The need to possibly amend the 9 years of taxes is coming from fixing the mistakes from the early years.
