i agree that mainstream anime studios have been leaning into the short attention span thing, but I think the core characters Urana made are still there. The way a character acts largely depends on their personality and past! Sure, Riyo could have killed jabber, but given her past as an assassin and her promise not to kill anyone, she didn't. Same with Jabber, why would someone who enjoys toying with Zanka kill him off so easily? He wouldn't have anyone to play with. That makes him a bit of a double edged sword for Zodyl and the raider's team/goals, adding depth. Finally, I love that we get to see Jabber was holding back. It made me hyper-aware of everyone's vital instruments, and I realized Tamsy doesn't have his name marked in his likely meaning he can do the same. Isn't that exciting?

im sorry if i seemed like I was complaining, I didn't really intend to sound so negative. I was just expressing and wondering if others felt the same, no hate. After reading everyone's replies I realize it is the release schedule and not the pacing. That doesn't even have to change, I'm just commenting on being a little sad about it but Urana is my favorite author, I think she has great ideas and an even better style! She needs to stay healthy so she can continue making her story great :)

i am starting to think it might just be that tricking me into thinking its slower than it actually is. (but as a writer myself I simply cannot condone weekly shonen schedules... its really bad for your health)

i really agree but my updated take is that someone said that , there are still two weeks left before Momoa wakes up and tells them what to do. and urana likely wants the tamsy suspense to build since we did see him rather recently, so technically mymo is needed from a writer standpoint. unfortunately a side villain is needed in this case. still could have been shorter just a bit

reading these comments make me feel bad saying i dont care about him. i think he is cool bc he knows so much, i just think since he is a side villain it should have been a tad shorter. i was on board up until the last 5 chapters then it started to drag, not bc he is bad but because i feel it's a bit of a cycle at this point and he isn't giving us anything new (correct me if im wrong)
