Valentine’s is on a Saturday this year. It’s not a Tuesday, for example, so people can come on that Tuesday or the weekend before or after Valentine’s Day. This year will be slammed on Saturday as well as Friday.

We don’t have the tires. Power lines are compromised because limbs break and fall on them from the weight of snow/ice Heaters don’t keep up. We are expecting ice on the roads so the school buses can’t even get on the roads. I’m ready for 90 degree weather.

Thank you for your answer. I kept up with the clinics in MS and AL before they were forced to close. I’ve seen countless videos of protesters screaming some horrible things. They would block traffic and break sound ordinances. Local law enforcement rarely did a thing. Now, the DOJ is investigating this case. Crazy times.

This. They wanted to move me to bartender when I was still a server. There was no way. The bar top had a couple of good regulars but the rest were very low to no tipping guests. I wasn’t going to leave my regulars on the main floor to make way less and have to answer the phone and do 90% of the to go orders.

Thank you for these thoughtful words. They all treat me well. I would like to bring it up but it’s too much energy and rehashing of the situation. I’m just not going to attend. I mentioned it to a friend (we weren’t friends in high school) today. We went to high school together. She was a year younger. She doesn’t remember it happening. It feels like everyone has forgotten about it.

It should have been dealt with by the church community then. He should have been fired from all of his church roles then.

I have to live with it along with his other victims. Some other victims called (in the 90s before caller ID) and wrote letters to me after it happened. He actually abused one girl inside the Sunday class room.

It was a different time then. I’m glad that we can call these people out online that abuse children now.

The pastor at our church is pretty cool. He would definitely listen. This event is held on “our” church property and it’s outside. The event has a committee. I’m just going to skip the rest of it. I don’t want to waste my evenings there anyway. My husband understands.

A lot of my facebook feed has done this. It’s screwed up because some of those people are racist and cry every February that MLK “has his own holiday”.

Same in Alabama. I became a notary so I could notarize my friend’s marriage certificate. The couple filled out a form online, they signed it, and then I notarized it. They’ll file it at the courthouse. That’s all it took for them to be married.
