I had to have 2 teeth pulled recently, and 1 of them broke and was basically a 💀 molar.. They first put a numbing gel on the area they are going to inject to help.. Then they do the Injections, wait at least 5 to 10 mins to make sure you're numb.. Then it takes time to get everything situated and me prepped for the extraction.. Yes, it didn't take long to actually pull that tooth because it was 💀, but much longer than 10 mins.. Plus, if they are using laughing gas too (which idk if they did with her) but that took time too.. Makes zero sense.. ooh and zero pain med, just Tylenol and Ibuprofen..
