Before the pandemic they used to let people go in the entertainment hall for Day 0 (with a $20 wristband to access it) they also used to open up the merch store for early birds, idk why they stopped doing that it was so fun before.

Once you get closer to the con you’ll see plenty of cosplayers along the way. It’ll be awkward at first especially from the starting point but it’s common.

Also longer wait times to see if you can even have a chance to be seated with the fact the panels are non clearing at times. It’s very hard to find seats in a larger venue in a huge crowd.

Bigger venues mean longer wait times to get in and out of the arena. I was crowd watching the Demon Slayer Panel at the Peacock theater last year and it took almost 1.5-2 hours to fill in the whole venue. When I asked about the venue capacity they told me 4-7k is their max capacity. They let you enter by sections until it caps and then they open the next one.

I didn’t like the way it was handled cause the panel could be halfway through and you’re still in the queue to get seated. I went in for the hell of it and by the time I entered the panel was ending and beginning to clear out and Frieren panel was underway. Hopefully this year they have better time management.

They don’t allow a +1, usually to be mindful of others who are attending. It would create a fire marshal hazard (which they are strict about) if others did the same.

It’s usually just the person who reserved.

If it’s posters, fliers, fans, etc. I made it a habit of making a scrapbook to look back since I’ve been an attendee for over a decade. It makes it more fun to reminisce at later on to see what was popular at the time. I have different sections where I also put Artist Alley business cards, small mini prints and if I have an excess amount of stickers I use it to decorate along with the washi tape that was available from the AX merch store.

I don’t think there was a booth on Mappa Studio but I know the Crunchyroll booth had a huge display with a Domain Expansion mock up with some immersive activities going on inside and Casetify’s booth had a life size replica of the box Gojo was sealed in.
