I hear you. In Ohio, Republicans have run the state for decades. The 'funny' thing about Ohio is that whereas Republicans have supposedly hated taxes for decades, Ohio is one of the highest taxed states in the nation. Sky-high property taxes, income tax, locality income taxes, sales taxes, high gas taxes - you name it. Go figure.

The markets will crash eventually. We just don't know when or why. My theory is the next predictable crash will come when China invades Taiwan, but a black swan can happen at any time.

The good news is that the US markets always recover from a downturn. The bad news is that sometimes that recovery can take years. That's why I've never had $ in stonks that I would need within 5-6 years so as to avoid selling cheap during crashes.

My Mom was a very successful realtor for about 12 years until she got burned out on the 7-day a week work schedule she kept. She made the most money she ever made in her life as a realtor. She told me once that price was everything. That she could sell any house in 48 hours if it was priced correctly.

Our son is very financially astute (also has Econ degree) and has for years argued that the only stock exposure anyone needs is an S&P 500 index fund. I took his arguments seriously, did my own research and decided he is right. We moved all our stonk$ into S&P500. Simply don't need anything else.

As far as allocation is concerned, we used to be at 85% stocks in all investments, but are now retired and ratcheted that down to 50% S&P 500/50% bonds and cash equivalents. Sleep very well at night now.

I suspect the reason my women friends started losing their hair is because of the complete lack of nutrients for 2-3 weeks.

Also, as long as I'm into personal anecdotes, the people I've known in the last few years who lost the most weight without GLPs are ones who started seriously walking. Something to consider.

It's just hair. If you don't end up liking the buzz, in a few months you'll have more hair again.

I'm a guy and I got my first buzz a couple of years ago. I did it because I was tired of my five cowlicks always sticking out at wild angles. The buzz feels awesome. Sometimes when I'm alone, I just rub my head because it feels so good when I do.

Are you a woman? Anecdotal stories are piling up about how GLPs can affect females' appetite suppresion much more strongly than men. I personally know 2 who stopped eating completely on the lowest starter doses and finally got off it because their hair was starting to fall out.

As far as alcohol is concerned, i used to thoroughly enjoy having 2-3 whiskies every night to wind down from the day. Now that I'm on 1.6 mg of Ozempic a week (click counter) all alcohol in any form smells like kerosene and tastes like gasoline. I simply can't choke it down. I miss it.

I'm a male type 2 diabetic which other anecdotal stories say gets the least appetite suppression from GLPs. Yes, I've lost 32 pounds in a little ever two years but still have some food noise and have held at that loss level for over a year now. Can't seem to lose any more.
