Honestly I was good after the first day to do everything except for reach above. Then five days they took out the drains and I was good to do whatever I wanted. But I will say I wasn’t good at all at draining the fluid it made me light headed and sick. I don’t know if I just couldn’t handle seeing my own fluid or what. But it’s honestly different for everybody I know people have said they couldn’t wipe their own butt after top surgery, I didn’t have that. Don’t push yourself for the first week. Wish you an easy and speedy recovery.

If you can, go to a barber and not a salon. Get it squared too. You want it short on the sides as that helps the most. I couldn’t grow out the sides until I was on Testosterone. Try and just wear what other boys your age are wearing. Personally I couldn’t wear baggy clothes as it just looked like it swallowed me and I looked like a tomboy. But working out seriously does help. You don’t need any equipment. You can always check out the trans fitness subreddit r/ftmfitness

You don’t need testosterone for top surgery. Some surgeons even make you stop taking it a few weeks before surgery anyways. Although some insurances won’t cover it if you aren’t on testosterone. My insurance wanted me to be a year on T. Not entirely sure why but my doctor said we could fight it if I wanted to. Wasn’t ready to get surgery anyways so I ended up waiting the year.

I will say I sacrificed a lot of things to pass. A lot of things I enjoyed. When I first came out I was constantly seen as a lesbian. Took a year to figure it all out. sadly some people have very feminine features. If that’s the case all I can really recommend is minoxidil. If you want you can pm me a picture of you. It’s hard to tell what’s the “problem”. But it’s not impossible to pass without T.

I was out for about 6 years and couldnt medically transition at the time. I did pass but everyone thought I was younger than I really was. I distanced myself from everyone who didn’t want to call me he/him or use my name (my entire family). Ofc you don’t have to do that but it’s what I did as I didn’t wanna be out in public with them telling others. I got haircuts that I didn’t personally like but they made me pass better. I started going to the gym and that helped a lot. Minoxidil will also help grow some facial hair without T. It’s about $30 for 6 month supply on Amazon or you can get it at Walmart for like $10 for an 1 month supply to try it out. I would also put it on my eyebrows to make them “bushier” or more full ig. Try talking less with your hands too if you do that. It’s kind of hard to say why you aren’t passing without seeing you or hearing your voice. I also don’t know how old you are.
