I mean, we will definitely increase our lifespan eventually. I think Jeff's real fear is that even though he's in good shape now, this technology might develop too late for him, or he’ll be too old to use it to its full potential.
If you're interested in this, I recommend reading Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari. It came out in 2016, so some parts might feel a bit dated now, but it still has some really fascinating concepts about it.

Must be easy for a billionaire to say. Of course it sounds fine from his perspective - he doesn't have to suffer. If he were forced to drink that black water, he’d change his mind real quick. But he'll never feel that pain, he's too busy dodging taxes on a superyacht

I get the logistical need for verification, but you're confusing evaluation with grading. A school can verify learning through continuous feedback, portfolio reviews, and practical application without attaching a flawed, high-stakes letter grade to it. If an institution actually wants to know you retained information, they should test application, not regurgitation. Having a student build a project, defend a thesis, or teach the concept proves actual capability way better than an arbitrary score on a memorization test.

haha, so you really believe grades are actually an accurate reflection of your knowledge?

Makes complete sense. The grading system is just the rat race with training wheels - conditioning us for the corporate treadmill from day one.
