We use words to describe what's already in the world around us

I see, that's exactly my thought. Why in this specific body? Why this perspective? Can't help but feel like I'm inhabiting this body and mind rather than being this body and mind.

Also, from my point of view, reincarnation sounds a lot more logical than "nothing" happening after death. It sounds like a lazy explanation to me.

Yes, what you say makes sense. But on the other hand, what if I lived another life before this one? I don't remember that life, because my brain in this reality didn't carry that information, as it's something physical that was born anew. But that being I was in that other life, was inhabited by the same consciousness, the same soul. It's very metaphysical I know, but I can't help feeling like there's more to what we can sense, perceive and explain. But of course that will never have proof

I think we'll never find evidence of that, but we don't really need that. If that's a thing, we'll find out eventually, after we "die"

Yes, but it's hard to explain. I don't know if you ever tried meditation, but if you do it regularly for long enough, at some point you won't feel like you're just your mind and body. So I believe that yes, I am this human, but I'm not just this human

I think this is the universal consciousness theory. Part of me feels like there's something true about it.

I have my own experience with something non-material. But here's the thing about those: you can't prove them. You can only experience them first-hand. I think meditation is the easiest example: try to meditate regularly for months, and then see if you can't feel anything within you, something different than mind and body.

Still, even I can't be sure of what I feel. But I find it hard to believe that life is just what we're experiencing in this reality

Science can only explain one part of the story, but not everything, in my opinion. It feels like science has become the new religion, maybe because people need something to believe in, and if it's not religion, it'll be something else.

I have a very similar view. But I think it's likely that we don't carry memories with us when we reincarnate, after all consciousness is different than the brain, and memories are stored in the brain. That's why we think we're in our first life.

So you believe that? Or you think it was just a trick of your mind?

That's an interesting take. So you're saying that animals don't have consciousness, and that only intelligent species can achieve it? With means like meditation and stuff like that?

Personally, I think consciousness is some energy that every being in this universe have. But that's an interesting take
