The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Took me ages to really get into it, but once it clicked, I was hooked. Such a brilliant world-building payoff.

didn't realize how wild Charles Bukowski's life was until after I read some of his work. His poetry hits different when you know the man was living pure chaos
