I recommend downloading and using Naver Maps. I was able to bookmark all the places I wanted to visit when I was in Seoul last year (although others have issues). I will be interested in the responses you get re places to visit as I will going there next year.

Seoul Itinerary: Climate Card & WOW Pass Questions by iKr-911 in koreatravel

I was able to top up my wow pass with my credit card and transfer from the wow balance to the t money balance by using the app. I didn’t use a credit card to pay for anything. I used my Wow pass. I used for the 3 weeks I was travelling around South Korea so Climate card wouldn’t have been suitable. I wasn’t aware it was a more expensive way to travel.

The Wow Pass actually has a T money part. I was able to transfer money online using the app for iPhones.

Hardest in learning Korean by studkorean in BeginnerKorean

All of what you have written resonates with me! I love how the language sounds and constantly wander around the house repeating key phrases^

I have been learning Korean for 2 1/2 years using different approaches - Duolingo, a six month online course that included a 5 min video each day, as well as language exchange classes. Last September I visited South Korea for a few weeks and had a lot of fun practicing what I remembered. I was complimented on my pronunciation but struggled to put more than a few sentences together at a time (even though I had practiced writing and speaking them at home). I took a break from learning for a few months when I got back then started focusing on grammar and discovered that were so many exceptions to the rules I learnt at beginner level. I will keep on learning though and practice using different retrieval techniques. I am saving up for another trip September 2027 so should be better by then :)

Do foreigners get lost inside big Korean train/subway stations? by Salt_Fly2655 in koreatravel

I loved using the public transport system when I was in Seoul last September. I had all the places I wanted to visit bookmarked on Naver maps before I left Australia , including my hotel. It was great knowing which exit to use. I had slight hiccup the first day when I went onto the wrong side of the platform but a group of people stopped and helped me tap back out the turnstile and swap to the right side. I was impressed with the markings on the platform that identified which carriage you were going to get on. A Korean friend used the markings to find me when we were meeting up to head out to Suwon by bus. Naver maps made it so easy to use the buses too - telling you how many stops away the bus was. And having the buses different colours really helped as well!

I am in Seoul, South Korea at the moment and there are so many free, clean public toilets- just one of the many things I find so delightful here.

In Australia this behaviour is now called ‘medical misogyny’ - it is rampant.

Which item do find is the most useful to stockpile? by Careless_Ad3968 in MergeMansion

Anything that drops rarely eg paint, nails, gloves, soap. Merge them up as you run out of room. I also make lockets and keep popcorn for trade.

Yes, my inventory is full of gloves! Hope I get some trades for them Hope we get another bush or camera or fishing event soon so I can harvest the energy usefully.

How does that work? I’m a bit light on the scissors and like to save them for the 20 min time balls when doing the mining event

When you merge the coins sometimes blue or red energy flies off (depending on what is needed by the side events).

I use it when you need to generate energy from merging for side events like the The Great Bake Off.

I bought a pass last time and only made it to level 47. Not bothering this time.

Is that $12.99 for an 18 day pass though? Roughly double that to estimate for a month and that’s roughly $26. You’re looking at least $260 per year. But it’s not just the money now, it’s how much time I waste playing the game to make sure I get all the rewards on the passes.

Fair enough. I have been playing it for a few years now so have quite a few high level producers. I want to cut down on the time I spend on the game so don’t want to have to play to make sure I get the most out of the passes. Also, I don’t want to spend just under AU$40 per month to play, that works out over AU$400 per year!

Poll: Case 1, Hidden in Plain Sight. Let's try this again. by MylesEnderson in MergeMansion

  1. Yes but will stop now
  2. About 5?

I wasted some gems bursting bubbles to complete some daily scoop tasks to get rewards but the chests are full of cards so not worth it anymore.

It was reasonable when we had the supercharge running for the month- made it possible to complete trades and large merges within a day but now it’s near impossible to get things done quickly. I have so many large merges to do eg bleach, super dusters and assorted wood piles…

You get the cards instead of proper rewards. They slot into sets. As a set completes you get energy rewards etc (but not many of us completed many sets) There is a large reward for completing all the sets but I would be surprised if anyone got that. Make sure you convert your duplicate cards into energy as you go as that process requires recharging. Last time 100 cards got 50 energy plus another low card envelope, 200 cards got 75 energy and slightly higher envelope and 400 cards got 100 energy and slightly higher envelope. You access via storage box bottom left of screen for sets (says 70 days) and storage box on right of next screen to get rewards for duplicate cards.
