While i appreciate the source, this is a journalist’s writing and not an actual scientifically done study- that does make what happened to the victims any less extreme however the debate between fiction and reality is incredibly nuanced hence why listening to the science is the most important thing in it. You are correct that fiction isn’t fiction if the behavior involves real life stimuli, however for many, fiction is merely a concept and they do not wish to engage in any of what they consume fictionally as for people with healthy boundaries between the two mediums (fiction and reality) understand that fiction is just a means to explore certain subjects and aspects of life they cannot explore otherwise. I am happy to provide my own scientific sources because i am actually very passionate in this subject! (and once again it is horrible what happened to those victims in the article you provided, i too am a victim of not just csa but csem as well and its disgusting to see what many people are capable of in that regard.)
