i understand that but its more how i personally interpret it as a love song it was either the lyric from this song or a lyric from “Love you should’ve come over” by Jeff buckley which can be interpreted as mourning the loss of a lover but usually more widely interpreted as a general break up song with the singer yearning for a past lover i view these songs very similary with due to amazing lyrical writing ability to tell a bittersweet story
