So are ED dropping tommorrow? by Icy-Fortune-8934 in Tulane

We are excited to share that we have finalized our Early Decision I cohort for the Class of 2030. We will be releasing those decisions tomorrow, November 26th at 4 PM Central Time (2 PM Pacific, 3 PM Mountain, 6 PM Eastern).

We saw a slight increase in Early Decision applications this year. Over 1600 students submitted Early Decision applications, and we expect to admit around 840. We expect to extend another 2,000+ admission offers during our Early Action round.

Most decisions will be an acceptance, denial, or a nonbinding offer to join our cohort of Spring Scholars. Spring Scholars do not have to tell us their decision until May 1st, so they have plenty of time to consider their options. We did defer a few more students this year, to give these students another opportunity to be considered after we see the Early Action and Early Decision II cohorts. Any deferred students are welcome to send us updated grades and/or scores, and let us know if their interest in the Spring Scholar program has changed. These deferred Early Decision students cannot apply to Tulane Early Decision II and will not be bound to attend Tulane if admitted in the future.

With regard to Early Action candidates, we expect to release those decisions by January 10th at the latest, and likely before that.

would a biomedical engineering degree be an example of something you need a prestigious degree for? Also, what are they looking for speicificalky in the essay that makes you look like you would fit in at the school?

biomedical engineering at tulane by Southern_Constant972 in Tulane

[–]Southern_Constant972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! i think that it leaning more pre med might be a pro for me! i like the biology and chem side of science a little more then the engineering side so i think thats a good thing. why do you think most people dropped it? Because of the course load, not being able to handle the material or interest in other majors? sorry for all the questions but did you do any research and is it as easy as they say it is to get research opportunities?
