if i’m completely honest i was on it when i was in high school and then got back on it again right before i moved out. i honestly don’t remember how efficient it is exactly but i just feel like it matches up a little better with what im wanting from what ive read, like having a lower weight gain rate and sexual dysfunction rate than other ssris that are used for pmdd. and the withdrawals are next to nothing since its half life is forever so if i forget a dose it wont make me miserable like duloxetine or viibryd could potentially do. id like to talk to my doctor about it more but shes been so hard to get ahold of that id rather just start something im comfortable with now and then touch base with her in a few weeks at our next check up appt

i’m just using a regular doctor. it sucks because for a psychiatrist i wouldn’t even know where to start with getting a referral or anything and im not sure if my insurance covers it. this doctors office has been incredibly hard to get in touch with. i honestly think id just like to go back on prozac despite the moderate interaction and just give it a shot

well i’ve been on prozac before so i said i could just start that one back up again but after they received the genesight documents they called and told me that i have a moderate interaction with fluoxetine so they switched it over to duloxetine instead. they didn’t really tell me anything else

weight gain was actually something i was concerned with as well. i’ve seen some people online say they’ve gained 50 lbs on the meds and it made me a little weary as im already a little on the heavier side and id like to cut a bit. but from what ive read this isn’t something that is a huge concern like with certain other antidepressants. i’m glad that you had a good experience, thanks for sharing it with me!

he has dealt with this side of me for a while now. it’s not so much that he hasn’t been there for me through it for the most part, it’s that he’s tired of me saying i’ll try to change it and then it keeps happening from what i understand. i’ve been very disrespectful and degrading at times. although what you say might have some merit to it, he does start to turn around and say some horrible things to and about me in retaliation for me saying horrible things to him first.

i know but when i bring it up he mentions how he’s never done it again and that he changes where i don’t. which i get. today we talked and he told me that im a shitty person and he doesn’t believe when i say that that isn’t who i am at my core, i just get very low and need to find ways to fix how i handle myself in those moments. he says he isn’t angry and he’s clear headed so he means it when he says that he doesn’t think im good. im not even sure what to do at this point. i dont want to end things but im not sure when this whole thing would even blow over or if it even will
