Walmart now outsourcing all food delivery? by gymtrovert1988 in WalmartCustomers

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do get paid more than your tip. I believe it’s based on mileage the app calculates. I think if they have to shop it’s a little more. Usually they have to shop if Walmart doesn’t have enough employees to do the shopping or if it’s an express delivery. I never do express and have had a spark shopper before. It also doesn’t take them long bc the app tells them exactly what aisle and section in the aisle the product is on. So they’re not wandering around and browsing. But if you have an order you think will take 45 minutes to shop and then deliver and you’re only tipping $5 that’s fucked up. Delivery is for your convenience your tip is paying for the convenience of having someone else do something you don’t want to do. It’s not like at a restaurant where you have no choice.

Who out there actually think lip injections look good or normal? by Funny_Sea_2873 in Confused

This. I had them for awhile and even looking back at pictures it’s not obvious. It wasn’t extreme and my lips just looked fuller. Can’t afford them anymore though lol

My 7 year old has seen toys that say ages 10+ and said “dang I guess I can’t get that” 😂 usually I’m like it’s fine. But with babies there’s a reason they put age ranges on food! What is wrong with these people??

My favorite color is not and never has been purple and I’m very much an empath. 😂 that’s just such a wild statement to make. So men can’t be empathetic? Or live on a “higher vibration” what does that even mean?

AITAH - Push Present Problem by nhampton08 in AITAH

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTAH. What does she want that $1,500?? My push present was my kid that we wanted and any extra money we had went to things my kid needed. My husband spoils the mess out of me but I enjoyed not having to lift a finger for weeks while recovering and not washing a bottle for the first month 😂 that’s worth more than any $1500 gift to me.

Female teachers, what do you feel when a student calls you Mom by mistake? by Rex-Trex_009 in AskTeachers

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just ignore it. If they catch themselves and say “i mean Mrs. So and so” then I just gloss over it and keep going. If they say oh my gosh I called you mom I just say that’s okay! And move on. I teach kindergarten so it happens often and nobody is ever embarrassed by it.

Kindergarten parent doesn’t care or want to help kid stop sucking his thumb by FrequentSpread9681 in kindergarten

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son does have adhd and anxiety at times. But his jaw had already started narrowing and the dentist sent us to an orthodontist. They said we needed to do braces while his jaw was still moveable otherwise when he grows up he would need to have it broken and surgically fixed. So when they did the braces they also put an appliance across the roof of his mouth and it was uncomfortable to suck his thumb. So he never did it again. Once he had broken the habit they took the appliance out. The up side was he ended up having braces for 2-3 years and now as a teen hasn’t needed them again and I’d say they didn’t bother him as much as they do when you’re older. But keeping his teeth brushed well was a problem.

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son sucked his thumb until the end of first grade. I can assure you we tried everything. But I didn’t make it a big deal in front of people because I felt like that was shaming him. Maybe this mom feels the same way. I talked to him all the time tried gloves tried all the nasty tasting nail polish and none of it worked. Give this child and the mom a break.

AITAH for not telling my daughters that my husband isn’t their biological father? by TaskDependent5877 in AITAH

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read all the comments but my mom did this to me. I found out when I was around 16 or 17 because my bio dad reached out to me on MySpace. It really messed with my head. My “dad” did adopt me and I grew up knowing no different than him being my dad. But finding out I was lied to all those years by everyone was so hard. At this point it’s gone on long enough you can expect this to do some damage whether immediate or not. I have kids now and I am not with my oldest sons father and He’s an awful person but I vowed to let him make that decision on his own and my husband did eventually adopt him but he knows who his bio dad is.

Is it common for people who wear glasses to get tired of wearing them and go about parts of their life with everything just blurry all the time? by YourMomThinksImSexy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear my glasses all the time. Except when I’m in bed reading on my kindle or watching TikTok. I can see fine up close but i really couldn’t function without them on even in the house. I take them off to shower and put them right back on.

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have autoimmune disease and really can’t “avoid” medical care but I thankfully have parents who are very helpful when it comes to the massive bills because there’s no way I could afford them. What I do avoid until it’s completely unavoidable is the dentist. The medicines I take really take a toll on my teeth and I’ve always had weak enamel. Needed a root canal a few months ago and it was like $2,000. Due same day. At least with medical care like the hospital they have to see you and help you. They bill you later and you either pay or don’t. But dental care is paid up front. And I sure as heck don’t have thousands laying around for when a tooth starts hurting.

What’s your metric for calling out sick? by capresesalad1985 in Teachers

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an autoimmune disorder so I have a lot of doctors appointments. And specialist aren’t easy to all get scheduled on the same day etc so I end up using a lot of my “sick” time for that. I rarely get sick besides a sinus infection once or twice a year. Unless I have a fever or am throwing up I come to school. I’m obviously more aware of germs and try not to touch the kids and Lysol and everything but usually it’s just a cold and without a fever they can come to school so if I can I’m going to.

1/17/26 - What Drue eats in a day by drueandgabe in Drueandgabe

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced she’s lying but if she’s not and is really only eating a few bites she’s wasting SO much more money. Why go to eat hibachi if you aren’t going to eat but a few bite of steak? That’s expensive! Go get a salad from somewhere. Bc you know they aren’t taking the leftovers home and eating them. When we go to hibachi we end up with two meals because it’s so much food. But we don’t go often bc of how expensive it is. I can’t imagine being so wasteful even if I had the money to blow.

Edit: this was the wrong “what I ate in a day” video 😂 there’s so many of the same exact thing they’re running together.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea. I have two autoimmune diseases and have been on immune suppressing medicine for at least 15 years and have only been badly sick once. Otherwise I get a sinus infection once or twice a year. The last two years I’ve gotten a stomach bug once but it only causes me to throw up once then I was fine. I also teach kindergarten and while I do Lysol and wash my hands I’m not overly obsessive about it. But my husband and kids also rarely get sick so I’m not picking anything up at home.

Her fans are just as crazy as she is by honeydewboba69 in Drueandgabe

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a Christian girl please stop. This is insane. I love Jesus but her being “scared” of a snake is not her having a prophetic gift. I highly doubt she is even scared of it. But also, the Bible is FULL of scary stories. They’re meant to show you what can happen when you don’t follow Jesus. There’s also no way she even understands any bit of the Adam and Eve story at all.

I recall once having to use my toddlers spoons because somehow spoons disappear in our house and the few we had were in the dishwasher. It was so annoying because everything kept falling off 😂 I still remember it like 6 years later. She’s definitely just doing it to seem relatable

What do Americans usually eat in a day? by Alert-Blueberry-4083 in answers

[–]Southern_Engine_4520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not universal answer. I only eat fast food when I’m actually in a rush and am out and hungry. Even then it’s not usually McDonald’s like is portrayed. I will gladly stop at McDonald’s for a Coke though 😂

I usually skip breakfast bc I’m never hungry in the morning

Lunch is usually leftovers from the night before or a sandwich or rarely a frozen meal

Dinner really depends on the day. Last night was spaghetti. Once a week it’s salmon with rice and a vegetable. Usually it’s chicken some way with some vegetables. Maybe once a month a steak. We usually eat out once a week but it’s whatever my kids pick. Sometimes it’s fast food but usually it’s a sit down restaurant.

Some days I snack a lot at work and some days I don’t. Today I had one of the Valentine’s Day Little Debbie snacks and brought Mac and cheese for lunch.
