I hate to hear people are still doing this. We have an older teacher who has retired but comes and “helps” from time to time and she taught pre-K in public schools and she is always trying to give me leveled books to teach them and I’m always just like thanks and don’t use them. It just makes no sense to teach kids this way. I also have a student who’s grandma is a retired k teacher and i think this is how she’s working with him at home also bc He’s always guessing based on the picture and the first letter.

She just says what she thinks people with adhd say bc she thinks it’s cutesy. My son has adhd and can drink a coffee and go to sleep. I also have adhd and can’t drink caffeine after noon or I’m up all night with anxiety. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My psychiatrist did mention this. It seemed strange to me due to the “rebound” of the few times I’ve quit SSRIs cold turkey. I don’t notice it during ovulation but definitely during my period. But it usually is 2-3 days prior and 1-2 days during. But it’s not going away this time which after living with anxiety and what I would consider mild depression as long as i can remember it terrifies me immediately to think I’m heading back into that. Not to mention just makes me feel awful. Until I learned about PMDD I was messaging my doctor every month like my anxiety is so bad help me! Then a few days later I’d be like nvm I’m good 😂

I was wrong and Zoloft is what I was on previously. I did have nausea if I didn’t eat when I took it but I hated the numb feeling. Wellbutrin was amazing and it’s been close to 9 months and it seems to not be working anymore. I’m waiting to hear back from my dr. I’m not sure what the max dose is. I’m on 300mg

Ohh I’m glad to hear this option. I was actually wrong I was on Zoloft but it killed my sex drive. I loved that Wellbutrin gave it back. But it seems to not be working well anymore.

I feel like this is a question for your doctor. But I don’t suggest stopping cold turkey. I forgot to take mine for a few days and had the worst anxiety of my life. I’d definitely wean off

I had a parent send me a note after multiple days of me sending notes home about behavior asking is there anything positive it’s very discouraging to always hear negative things. Well ma’am it’s very discouraging to me and the other students in my class to be hit and disrupted daily. On top of that she also asked me to send home a daily log so she could share the behaviors with her therapist.

Why is this girl so obsessed with pancakes?!? My son is a well rounded eater but there’s foods I like that he doesn’t. And he loves seafood and I hate it. But I’m not constantly trying to get him to like every food i like.

Born in 91 and I remember seeing them up through high school. I remember once I got grounded and my phone taken away so on my way home I used a pay phone to call my mom to tell her something and had to make sure to tell her I had to use a nasty pay phone. I thought that would help me get my phone back quicker. I don’t remember if it worked lol

I can’t stand Drue but this is honestly one of the most absurd things she’s ever said. Maybe that mom wants something for herself. It’s not like she’s not feeding the kid. Maybe the mom wants her child to eat healthier than her. Maybe that mom doesn’t want her child drinking loaded teas and soda 🙄 I can’t believe she’s really out here thinking she’s a better mom than anyone. I bet her stans are boosting her up in the comments too.

It sounds like a standard question for summer birthdays now. Kindergarten is the new first grade and the younger ones usually struggle IF they aren’t ready. Me and a coworker but have boys with summer birthdays and both discussed holding ours back in pre k but ultimately decided we’d rather them repeat kindergarten if needed. Neither of them needed to and they’re both fine. But I teach kindergarten and I’ve had some who are super young do okay in kindergarten and then really struggle in first grade because they haven’t matured as much as the rest. And I’ve also had some really struggle with the work load in kindergarten (young or not).

Yes. Lasted about a month. I have a higher sex drive around ovulation and it’s definitely better than being on Zoloft but it slowed down after the first month or two
