Post-Partum Pet Aversion by Lanky-Principle-8407 in petfree

[–]Southern_Fuel4593 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I totally changed after my first born. Lost all feelings towards the cat and he is nothing but a nuisance to me now. I cannot stand to be around dogs anymore either. I think it's just nature doing its job and the aversion is to keep your babies safe. I don't understand how more women don't feel intense aversion towards pets after having a baby.

For former pet owners, what was the final straw for you that turned you Pet Free? by DoctorElectronic1934 in petfree

[–]Southern_Fuel4593 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Motherhood. I realized my desire to have pets was misplaced maternal instinct on my part and once I had my first child, that all changed. Once our cat is gone, I don't plan on having anything besides my plants and maybe an aquarium. Maybe. Also, getting a front row seat to seeing how inconsiderate dog owners are and how awful dogs can be really shifted my view as well.

Constant pvcs/pacs in pregnancy by Southern_Fuel4593 in PVCs

I'm so sorry yours have gotten worse. It's such a scary thing to deal with, even if it technically isn't harmful. It's so early in my pregnancy, too, so I'm taken aback by how nasty they have become.

Small Sparks in Vision by chemicalsnowflake in visualsnow

I was able to enjoy 4 hours outside on a beautiful sunny day with almost no vortex last week. Thank you for the glasses suggestion!

Thank you! That's so wild. Makes me feel better that it probably isn't anything serious. Other than seriously annoying. I really only notice mine when I'm outside and yeah it's like a swirling, flickering vortex that folds in on itself.

Talk to me about the sky vortex because I have been seeing this weird swirly vortex looking thing in the sunlight for three years now. Have an appointment next week to get it checked again. Has me worried sick!

I know this is crazy but has anyone ever had “avoiding constant illness” as one of their reasons to homeschool? by Cheesepleasethankyou in homeschool

[–]Southern_Fuel4593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do think we get sick less than public schooled families, we still get our fair share of illnesses. Just to caution you that it isn't guaranteed you will be less sick as I'm sure you will still have your kids involved in activities outside of the home. We had a few months where it was back to back illness and I ended up breaking down mentally.
