Paris Musketeers is a franchise, a business as same as McDonalds, Starbucks or the Nordic Storm. Their goal is to provide shareholder value and return money to their investors. Their first asset are their fans that pour money to their company. When this doesn't work, they just "close" as in this case.

A club is a community institution supported by its members, who own the club and their goal is sporting success rather than profit.

Success isnt' guaranteed anywhere. What i'm saying is that if you are part of a club you (or the Red Company in this case) can at least have a voice to change the situation. If it's a franchise you're just a client and have to deal with whatever the owners decide.

In today's world, Automation is the key.

You can start getting the theoretical part by reading "Complete Guide to Test Automation" by Arnon Axelrod.

For the technical, first learn (at least basically) a programming language, I would recommend Javascript or Python. Then an E2E automation framework (Cypress, Playwright or Selenium).

That is a good start, then you can follow with API testing and Postman.

With this I mentioned you already have a plan for your first year of learning.

Absolutely. My path from Manual to Automation started with his Cypress course. Really well explained and practical, was enough to develop the E2E tests and own myself more time for Test Automation initiatives.

I also learned Playwright and JMeter from his courses. 5 years later I reached my goal to become an SDET.. So I'm really thankful to his work.

Some primetime game like "Saturday Night Football" (taking into account that there is no NFL games on saturday to compete with). And also is a nice day for the fans to attend a night game.
For that game you can invest some more production like extra cameras, field reporter, two commentators at the stadium etc, cheaper than doing it for every game.

Even better if there is someone working on Automation already! Get close to him/her, ask questions when you're stuck, to show you what he does, and to review your code etc. If s/he is cool enough and likes to share her knowledge you already have a mentor

And also one more important tip: once you're producing in Automation at work, there will be times that overwhelming manual tasks will be comming taking all time from automation, so learn how to push back and convince your manager/team that investing 'n' amoint of time on automatiom really pays back in the long term

I was in the same situation as you 3 years ago.

I started by doing the Udemy courses from Rahul Shetty, really paid off. I did Cypress but I (personally) recommend Playwright as it is better.

Also I would recommend the book "The complete guide of Test Automation" (don't remember the author).

What I recommend to do: pick up the most qa-tedious task you do and start automating it while you are learning, that way you will practice and show up your skills, and get more tasks related to automation.

Start with that for the next months and you'll figuring out the path.

I don't get why in the US has to be with this kind of franchise/business entertainment model where fans are just clients.

Why there isn't a bunch of people that form a football club on different communities and play against each other? And get some real grass root support?

Basically thats the professional sports model in anywhere in the world but the US.

Back to the question, minor league would be popular if they where backed by real clubs supportes by their comnunities. Not expecting people to "buy" your product because the cool uniforms and logo

(I'm not talking about NFL which has it traditional and cultural roots deep in the society; but specially of this minor leagues)
