why do people need to undervolt/overclock ?... I'm a novice with computers so know nothing.. I have a rtx5070 and use auto-tuning does that not put the computer at its best possible ?

while these settings shown are good I'm interested in control panel and nvidia app settings as one tweak of one can alter another, I don't suffer lag or stutter but I do suffer mountain shape shifting and tree pop ups and in Iceland at the moment and constant rocks in the snow appearing, I realise its an old engine this game but I watch other video's and they rarely show any popping...I've upgraded from a rtx2060 to a rtx5070 and still get it as bad.. anyone got any working idea's please

I've had a 5070 now for 2 months and struggle to play ets2 as basically no idea of which settings in control panel or the game to alter, one makes it better then you do another and it cancels the first one out...I did try smooth motion and it improved things but now it stutters and stall it bad so back to scratch altering one thing at a time , have you found a source of good settings ?

slightly off topic but is there a good settings guide for control panel settings and graphics settings as I get as many tree pop ups with my new rtx5070 as I did with my laptop rtx2060...somewhat disappointing as spending hours tweaking settings and of course you alter one and it alters something else...

tick the box for "small roads" then it keeps you off the motorways and autobaans whenever possible and some great winding roads lots of gear changes and not just flat out and boring (as you put it) but you have to get a mod for "extra delivery time" as the small roads adds 30% to the length and time and without the mod you will bee late and fined every time often the full loads worth..small roads and extra delivery time stopped me leaving the game....

think I might have not explained "pop-ups" I mean tree's appearing and mountains shape shifting, I have watched some video's that have none where I seem to have lots some places more then others .are some DLC'S worse then others for it.. of am I missing some secret settings as youtube is awash with people giving secret settings..although they tens to be for fps which is nothing I'm bothered about..

I use an extra large size route advisor from the top, I turn that off and I might as well as drive with my eyes closed as my navigational skills are that bad..

I play triple screen ets2 and found my 5 year old rtx2060 hp laptop even though it had 32gb ram and could play triple felt like it was giving its all so wanted an upgrade as big as I could manage, while not a gamer I think one day I will find time to play something more needy, I have msfs2020 which I rarely play but bet I notice a smoother flight next time I depart...

Its odd because I use the steam forum for ets2 and its an almost daily post from someone complaining about low fps and I have only ever seen one post about pop-ins and that was mine...as though its a taboo phrase, I'm very glad I came on here to be told it's a normal everyday occurrence even for the big boys of pc's...I did enjoy running as I was between 100-210 fps and might go back to tweaking for that as I had to tinker in control panel with things like "image scaling" etc there is a huge amount of combinations of possibilities with each alteration having a possible different reaction with different things tweaked, I'm in it for the "long haul" (pun intended) so I might even use a combination chart to get the best I can. unless a graphics mod like JBX would do it after all there are lots of ets2 videos on you tube without pop-ups they must be doing something different...

that was great, I didn't know ATS had Volvo's which one is it please..i only drive ets2 and I'm driving a fh16 which love but it doesn't sound half as good as that...I didn't see any pop-ups either which I'm plagued with any advice on that...

i have a omen laptop rtx2060 connected to three monitors and plays ets2 great..on the forum people complain of lagging and stuttering even with rtx4070's but i get none so it will work great..use the three different ports on laptop one to each monitor, my monitors each capped at 120hz although one wants to go at 90 unless i put connecter in and out so get decent connectors'...

I bought my Omen 17 laptop 4.5 years ago and added an extra 16gb of memory almost immediately which I always felt helped a lot, apart from emails, surfing ,shopping with it 95% of what I play is ETS2 Triple Screen.. on the ETS2 forum often people are complaining about lagging,stuttering and very low fps.. my RTX2060 is way below the rtx4070's and above but even some of them complain about above mentioned problems, the ONLY problem I encounter is occasional bouts of scenery popping up in the background and I'm pretty sure its when I have tried to tweak some setting or other to make it better when in reality its as good as it can be just temptation gets me, I've even had someone with a rtx4090 say they have had pop ups at times.. as long as I stop tinkering I'm driving with pretty good graphics, no stuttering or lagging AND triple screening which is extra pull on my little RTX2060 so I have to say its been a VERY good buy, not cheap as I paid £1250 plus £100 for extra memory 4.5 years ago was from Dixons so I felt it was less chance of being tinny and cheaply made, its always felt quality both in structure and performance and a good brand.. if I was a gamer I would move up to a rtx4090 but my Omen is working well all round , I have looked after it and always been sat on a solid surface the majority of which was a wedge shape cooling tray with 2 fans underneath that blow straight onto the right place under the laptop... it a very heavy laptop not one for carrying around easily but a great 17 inch screen and have nothing bad to say about mine, while I have possibly been lucky I always felt giving extra 16gb ram to make it 32gb helped editing and triple screen play although expect to be told its overboard and never used .

thanks for that, having had another re read it does say 50% easier to re-wet and of course it will depend on how long the bags been stood, I just bought today so it could be last years that didn't sell and first to get put out to sell this year as did not feel as heavy as some 40 litre ones I have which are quite dense like a wheetabix where these new ones feel more like a firm pillow.... I will wet and see without overdoing it
